Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Ensure work area is dry and well-ventilated.

  1. Select voltage: Set switch to 12V or 24V based on your battery system.
  2. Connect to battery: Attach RED clamp to positive (+) terminal, BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  3. Connect to power: Plug AC cord into grounded 120V outlet.
  4. Monitor LED: Charger will automatically begin charging sequence.

WARNING! Always connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC power. Ensure proper polarity to avoid damage.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: Voltage selector switch, LED status indicator, Power cord input.

LED Indicator Colors:

Voltage Selector: Slide switch to select between 12V and 24V operation.

Charging Process

The 4-stage charging process optimizes battery life and performance:

  1. Bulk Stage: Delivers maximum current (10A) until battery reaches 80% charge (Red LED)
  2. Absorption Stage: Voltage constant, current tapers as battery reaches 100% (Yellow LED)
  3. Float Stage: Maintains battery at full charge with reduced voltage (Green LED solid)
  4. Maintenance Mode: Monitors battery and provides pulses as needed (Green LED flashing)

Note: Total charging time varies based on battery size and discharge level. A completely dead 100Ah battery may take 10+ hours.

Connecting to Batteries

Proper connection sequence is critical for safety:

  1. Turn off all loads and ignition if charging vehicle battery.
  2. Set voltage selector to match battery system (12V or 24V).
  3. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) battery terminal.
  4. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) battery terminal or clean chassis ground.
  5. Plug AC cord into grounded outlet.
  6. Observe LED - if flashing red, disconnect immediately and check polarity.

Tip: For batteries in vehicles, connect negative clamp to engine block or chassis away from battery.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger enters maintenance mode (Green flashing LED). In this mode:

Ideal for seasonal storage of vehicles, boats, RVs, and equipment.

Safety Features

Multiple protections ensure safe operation:

CAUTION! Always charge in well-ventilated area. Batteries produce explosive gases.

Care & Storage

Unplug from AC power and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only.

Storage: Store in cool, dry place. Keep clamps from touching each other.

CAUTION! Do not expose to water or liquids. Do not disassemble charger.
