Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base station on flat surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base station LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Charge handset: Insert rechargeable battery, place handset on base station for 16 hours initial charge.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base station and wall outlet.
  4. Install battery backup: Insert backup batteries if required for answering machine memory.

WARNING! Use only supplied AC adapter. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow initialization process.

  1. Set language: Press MENU on handset, select LANGUAGE, choose ENGLISH (default).
  2. Set time and date: Use MENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE to configure.
  3. Register handsets: Place additional handsets on base, press REGISTER button for pairing.
  4. Configure answering machine: Press ANS MACHINE button on base to set greeting and recording time.

CAUTION! Ensure proper ventilation around base station; avoid blocking vents.

Settings: Language (ENGLISH, FRANÇAIS, ESPAÑOL), Time/Date format, Ringer volume/melody, Eco mode on/off, Handset name, Registration of additional handsets. Answering Machine: Record greeting, Set number of rings, Remote access code (default 0000).

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 connector. Additional Handsets: Register via base station.

  1. Ensure base station is powered and connected to telephone line.
  2. Place handset to be registered on base station charging contacts.
  3. Press and hold REGISTER button on base for 3 seconds until indicator flashes.
  4. Follow on-screen prompts on handset to complete registration.

Tip: Maximum 5 handsets can be registered to one base station.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access capability.

  1. Record greeting: Press ANS MACHINE button, follow voice prompts to record personal greeting.
  2. Set number of rings: Choose 2, 4, or 6 rings before answering machine picks up.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset to listen to messages.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback to remove individual messages.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number from outside, when greeting plays, enter remote code (default 0000) to listen to messages.
  6. Turn on/off: Press ANS MACHINE button to toggle answering machine function.

WARNING! Backup batteries required to maintain messages during power outage.

Hearing Aid Compatibility: Meets FCC HAC standards (M3/T3 rating). Visual Ringer Indicator: Flashing LED on handset for incoming calls. Adjustable Ringer Volume: 5 levels plus off. Large Display Font: Option for larger characters in menu.
