  2. Position: Use kickstand to angle panel directly towards the sun.
  3. Connect: Plug your device into USB port using appropriate cable.
  4. Charging: LED will illuminate blue when charging is active.
  5. Optimize: Adjust angle every few hours for maximum sun exposure.

CAUTION! Do not look directly at the sun when positioning panel. Avoid shading on solar cells.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Simple interface with LED indicator only.

LED Indicator: Blue light indicates power is being generated and delivered to connected device. No light means insufficient sun or no device connected.

USB Ports: Two standard USB-A ports. Use either or both simultaneously.

Daisy-Chain Port: Special port to connect additional BackPacker units for higher combined output.

Kickstand: Flip out to set desired angle. Fold flat for storage.

Charging Devices

Compatible with most USB-powered devices.

  1. Ensure strong sunlight is available (direct, not shaded).
  2. Connect your device to USB port using its own cable or included cable.
  3. LED should light blue. Device should show charging symbol.
  4. For faster charging, use only one port at a time.
  5. To charge a power bank, connect power bank to USB port first, then charge devices from power bank later.

Tip: Charging times vary based on sunlight intensity, cloud cover, and device battery size.

Solar Panel Operation

Maximize efficiency with proper sun management.

  1. Sunlight: Direct, unobstructed sunlight is required. Performance drops significantly in shade, clouds, or indirect light.
  2. Angle: Adjust kickstand so panel faces sun perpendicularly. Change angle every 1-2 hours as sun moves.
  3. Temperature: Extreme heat can reduce efficiency. Allow ventilation behind panel.
  4. Daisy-Chaining: Connect units using special cable (sold separately). Combined output increases for charging larger devices.
  5. Cleaning: Keep solar cells clean. Wipe with soft, dry cloth if dusty.

WARNING! Do not attempt to disassemble or modify solar panel. High voltages may be present internally.

Storage & Maintenance

Store properly to extend product life.

  1. Fold panel carefully along original creases.
  2. Secure with attached straps.
  3. Store in carrying case in a cool, dry place.
  4. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or moisture.
  5. Do not store with devices connected.

CAUTION! Do not fold panel with cables or objects between cells. This may damage the solar surface.

Safety Information

Read all safety instructions before use.
