Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level countertop.

  1. Water connection: Choose reservoir (fill with filtered water) or direct plumbing (connect to 1/4" line with included adapter).
  2. Power connection: Plug into dedicated 20A, 120V AC outlet. Do not use extension cord.
  3. Initial flush: Turn machine on, run water through group head and steam wand for 2 minutes to clear lines.
  4. Grinder setup: Ensure espresso grinder is calibrated for fine, consistent grounds.

WARNING! Machine is heavy (55 lbs); use two people for lifting. Ensure electrical outlet is properly grounded.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; allow 20 minutes to heat up to operating temperature.

  1. Set temperature: Use PID menu to set brew boiler (195-205°F) and steam boiler (255-265°F).
  2. Program shot volumes: Press and hold PROGRAM button, then use single/double buttons to set desired volume.
  3. Set pre-infusion: In advanced menu, set pre-infusion duration (3-10 seconds) and pressure.
  4. Set auto standby: Configure idle time (30-120 minutes) before machine enters energy-saving mode.
  5. Prime steam wand: Open steam valve briefly to purge condensation before first use.

CAUTION! Surfaces become extremely hot during operation. Keep hands clear of group head and steam wand.

Specifications

Brewing Espresso

Supports single/double shots, manual override, pre-infusion.

  1. Preheat: Ensure machine is at temperature (green indicator lit).
  2. Grind & dose: Dose 18-20g finely ground coffee into portafilter, level, and tamp evenly.
  3. Lock portafilter: Insert into group head and turn firmly to right until snug.

  5. Monitor: Ideal extraction time 25-30 seconds for 1.5-2 oz double shot.
  6. Stop: Press button again to stop early, or let programmed volume complete.
  7. Pre-infusion: Automatically applies low pressure (3 bar) for set duration before full pressure.

Tip: Use fresh, high-quality beans and scale for consistent dosing.

Steaming Milk

Powerful steam for microfoam texture.

  1. Purge wand: Briefly open steam valve to clear condensation before steaming.
  2. Fill pitcher: Use cold milk filled to just below spout (4-8 oz for cappuccino/latte).
  3. Position wand: Submerge tip just below milk surface, angle pitcher for vortex.
  4. Open valve: Turn knob fully open for maximum pressure.
  5. Texture milk: Lower pitcher as milk expands to maintain tip just below surface.
  6. Heat to temperature: Stop at 150-155°F (65-68°C) – too hot will scorch milk.
  7. Clean wand: Immediately wipe with damp cloth, then purge briefly.

WARNING! Steam wand and milk become extremely hot. Always use handle and keep hands clear.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Daily: Backflush with water after use. Weekly: Backflush with detergent, clean steam wand, descale if using hard water. Monthly: Replace group head gasket, clean shower screen.
