Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper mounting location.

  1. Mount controller: Choose dry, well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight.
  2. Connect battery first: Connect battery terminals to controller (observe polarity).
  3. Connect solar panel: Connect PV cables to solar terminals (observe polarity).
  4. Connect load: Connect DC load to load terminals if needed.
  5. Connect temperature sensor: Plug into dedicated port for temperature compensation.

WARNING! Always connect battery before solar panel to prevent damage. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

First-Time Setup

Power on controller; follow display prompts and button operations.

  1. System voltage detection: Controller auto-detects 12V or 24V system.
  2. Set battery type: Press SET button to select battery type (default: Gel).
  3. Set charging parameters: Adjust bulk/absorption/float voltages as needed.
  4. Set load timing: Configure load timer for automatic on/off control.
  5. Monitor display: Verify PV input, battery voltage, and charging status.

CAUTION! Ensure battery is properly connected before solar panel connection to avoid controller damage.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access settings via front panel buttons. Display shows real-time system parameters.

Buttons: SET (enter settings), UP/DOWN (adjust values), ESC (exit/cancel).

Display Indicators: PV voltage, Battery voltage, Charging current, Load status, Battery type icon, Error codes.

Settings Menu: Battery type selection, Charging voltage adjustment, Load control mode (Manual/Timer), Timer settings (1-15 hours), System reset, Factory default restore.

Connecting Devices

Battery: Connect to BAT+ and BAT- terminals. Solar Panel: Connect to PV+ and PV- terminals. Load: Connect to LOAD+ and LOAD- terminals.

  1. Turn off all power sources before connecting.
  2. Connect battery terminals first (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Connect solar panel terminals (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  4. Connect load if needed (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  5. Connect temperature sensor to dedicated port.

Tip: Use proper wire gauge (minimum 10AWG for battery connections) and ensure tight connections.

Operation Modes

Supports multiple charging and load control modes.

  1. Charging Modes: Bulk (constant current), Absorption (constant voltage), Float (maintenance).
  2. Load Control: Manual (always on), Timer (1-15 hours programmable), Night mode (on at dusk, off at dawn).
  3. Battery Equalization: For flooded batteries only (activated manually in settings).
  4. USB Output: Always active when battery is connected and charged above 11V.
  5. Display Modes: Press SET to cycle through display screens (voltage, current, power, energy).

WARNING! Do not disconnect battery while solar panel is producing power. Always disconnect solar panel first.

Protection Features

Overcharge Protection: Stops charging when battery voltage reaches set point. Overload Protection: Disconnects load if current exceeds 10A. Short-Circuit Protection: Automatic shutdown and recovery. Reverse Polarity Protection: Protects against wrong connection of battery/solar. Temperature Compensation: Adjusts charging voltage based on battery temperature.

Care & Maintenance

Disconnect power before cleaning. Keep unit dry and clean. Check connections periodically for corrosion.

CAUTION! Do not expose to water or moisture. Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.
