Mounting Instructions
Choose the appropriate mounting method for your application: Surface, Pendant, or Trunnion Mount.
- Plan Location: Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound and can support the fixture's weight. Maintain recommended clearance from combustible materials.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Mark drill holes using the provided bracket as a template.
- Surface Mount:
- Attach the mounting brackets to the fixture using the supplied M6 bolts.
- Position the fixture against the ceiling or wall.
- Secure the brackets to the surface using appropriate fasteners (not included for concrete/metal).
- Pendant Mount:
- Attach the pendant rods (customer supplied) to the mounting points on the fixture.
- Secure the opposite end of the rods to the ceiling structure.
- Ensure all connections are tight and the fixture is level.
- Final Check: Gently tug on the fixture to confirm it is securely fastened.
CAUTION! Do not overtighten mounting hardware, as this may damage the fixture housing or compromise the seal.
Electrical Wiring
All wiring must comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations.
- Power Off: Confirm power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Use a voltage tester to verify.
- Access Wiring Compartment: Remove the cover of the wiring compartment by loosening the captive screws.
- Feed Wires: Remove the appropriate knockout(s). Feed the supply wires (Line - Black, Neutral - White, Ground - Green) through a conduit connector into the compartment.
- Make Connections: Connect the fixture wires to the supply wires using the provided waterproof wire connectors.
- Fixture Black (L) to Supply Black (Line/Hot)
- Fixture White (N) to Supply White (Neutral)
- Fixture Green/Yellow (⏚) to Supply Green (Ground)
- Secure & Seal: Tuck wires neatly into the compartment. Ensure the wire connectors are fully seated. Reinstall the cover, making sure the silicone gasket is properly aligned and the screws are tightened evenly to ensure a watertight seal.
WARNING! Incorrect wiring can cause permanent damage to the fixture and void the warranty. Double-check all connections.
Configuration & Setup
The LHT0346 has a simple DIP switch bank inside the wiring compartment for basic configuration.
- Access DIP Switches: With power OFF, open the wiring compartment cover.
- Color Temperature Selection:
- Switch 1: OFF = 4000K (Cool White)
- Switch 1: ON = 5000K (Daylight)
- Optional Dimming (0-10V):
- Switch 2: OFF = Dimming Disabled (Fixture runs at 100%).
- Switch 2: ON = Dimming Enabled. Connect the purple (V+) and gray (V-) dimming wires from the fixture to your compatible 0-10V dimmer controller.
- Close Compartment: After setting switches, securely close the wiring compartment.
Note: Changes to DIP switches only take effect after a power cycle (turn power OFF and ON).
Commissioning & Testing
- Final Inspection: Verify all mounting hardware is tight, wiring compartment is sealed, and the lens is clean and secure.
- Restore Power: Turn ON power at the circuit breaker.
- Initial Operation: The fixture should illuminate immediately. Observe for a stable, uniform light output with no flickering.
- Dimming Test (if enabled): Operate the connected 0-10V dimmer through its full range to ensure smooth dimming from 100% down to the minimum level (typically 10%).
- Thermal Check: Allow the fixture to operate for 30 minutes. The housing will become warm; this is normal. It should not be excessively hot to the touch.
Tip: It is recommended to commission a single fixture first before installing an entire batch.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth dampened with a mild soap solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Annually, inspect the fixture for:
- Physical damage to the housing or lens.
- Security of mounting hardware (retighten if necessary).
- Integrity of the wiring compartment seal.
- Degradation of light output (compared to a new unit).
- No User-Serviceable Parts: The LED module and driver are sealed units. Do not attempt to open or repair them.
CAUTION! Always disconnect power before performing any inspection or cleaning.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
| Fixture does not turn on | No power supply Incorrect wiring Internal fault | Check circuit breaker/power source. Verify wiring connections (L, N, G). Contact technical support. |
| Flickering or unstable light | Loose connection Incompatible dimmer Voltage fluctuation | Check all wire terminations. Disable dimming (Switch 2 OFF) to test. Verify supply voltage is within 100-277V AC. |
| Dimming not working | Dimmer not compatible/configured DIP switch not set Wiring error | Use a certified 0-10V dimmer. Set Switch 2 to ON. Check dimmer wire connections (Purple/V+, Gray/V-). |
| Reduced light output | Lens is dirty Ambient temperature too high Aging of LED | Clean the lens. Ensure adequate ventilation. Normal depreciation over time. |
| Water inside fixture | Seal compromised Gasket misaligned | Immediately disconnect power. Inspect and reseal wiring compartment cover. Contact support if seal is damaged. |
