Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Use in well-ventilated area.

  1. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when working with batteries.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC outlet before connecting to battery.
  3. Connect red clamp to positive (+) terminal first, then black to negative (-) or grounded metal.
  4. Keep charger dry and away from flammable materials.
  5. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

WARNING! Risk of explosion or acid burn. Follow instructions precisely. Keep children away.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface.

  1. AC Connection: Plug power cord into standard 120V AC outlet.
  2. Battery Connection: Ensure charger is off/unplugged. Connect clamps to battery terminals (red to +, black to -).
  3. Power On: Plug in AC cord. Charger will automatically detect battery voltage and begin analysis.
  4. Mode Selection: Use MODE button to select battery type if needed (default is AUTO).

CAUTION! Do not connect to AC power before clamps are securely attached to prevent sparking.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE selector, Digital Display.

Display Icons: Battery Status (Empty/Charging/Full), Voltage (6V/12V), Fault Indicator, Maintenance Mode.

Buttons: POWER (On/Off), MODE (Cycle through battery types: AUTO, AGM, GEL, DEEP-CYCLE). Display shows: Real-time voltage, Charge percentage, Error codes (E1-E5). Charging Stages: BULK (constant current), ABSORPTION (constant voltage), FLOAT (maintenance).

Charging Procedures

Automatic charging for 6V/12V batteries.

  1. Preparation: Ensure battery terminals are clean. Vent caps are secure (if applicable).
  2. Connection: Attach clamps (red to +, black to -). Plug into AC outlet.
  3. Initiation: Charger beeps once, displays battery voltage and begins analysis.
  4. Charging: Display shows "CHG" and progress bar. Charger automatically cycles through stages.
  5. Completion: Display shows "FULL" and switches to float/maintenance mode.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove black clamp, then red clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries (<2V), charger may enter recovery mode; allow extra time.

Maintenance Mode

After full charge, charger enters float mode to maintain optimal battery voltage.

  1. Automatic: Charger switches to maintenance automatically when battery is full.
  2. Indicator: Display shows "FLOAT" or maintenance icon.
  3. Duration: Can remain connected indefinitely without overcharging.
  4. Exit: Unplug or disconnect when ready to use battery.

Note: Ideal for seasonal vehicles, boats, or infrequently used batteries.

Error Codes & Diagnostics

Display shows error codes if fault is detected.

CodeMeaningAction
E1Reverse PolarityCheck clamp connections (red to +, black to -)
E2OverheatAllow charger to cool; ensure ventilation
E3Battery Voltage Too Low/HighCheck battery condition; replace if damaged
E4Short CircuitDisconnect; check for damaged cables or terminals
E5Charging TimeoutBattery may not accept charge; test battery

Clear errors by disconnecting AC and battery, then restart.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth; store in dry location.

  1. Clean clamps periodically with baking soda/water solution to remove corrosion.
  2. Inspect cables for cracks or wear.
  3. Coil cord loosely; avoid sharp bends.
  4. Store in original box or protective case.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or use solvents. Keep away from extreme temperatures.
