Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
WARNING! Do not bend panel excessively. Avoid sharp objects. Ensure connections are dry before making.
For initial use, follow these steps to ensure proper operation.
CAUTION! Do not short-circuit the DC output terminals. Keep panel away from flammable materials when in sun.
The panel has minimal controls. All connections are via ports and cables.
Panel Ports: USB-A output port, DC output cable (fixed).
DC Cable: Red alligator clip (positive), Black alligator clip (negative).
Kickstand: Foldable, adjustable for angle. Lies flat when not in use.
Operation: Panel is always "on" when exposed to light. Output is dependent on sunlight intensity. No power switch.
Connect to 12V batteries or USB devices.
Tip: For best results, connect battery or device before placing panel in sun. Disconnect when not in use to prevent parasitic drain.
Designed for maintaining or trickle-charging 12V lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries.
WARNING! This panel is not a full battery charger. It is for maintenance/trickle charging. Do not use to charge a completely dead (0V) battery. Do not leave connected indefinitely without monitoring.
Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents damage if DC clips are connected backwards (battery charging only). Short-Circuit Protection: Built-in protection for DC output. Water & Dust Resistance: IP67 rating allows use in wet conditions.
Unplug all devices before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap to clean the ETFE surface. Rinse with clean water if needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or high-pressure water.
CAUTION! Do not immerse the junction box (where cables exit) in water despite IP67 rating for the panel surface. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid folding or creasing sharply.

| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
|---|---|---|
| No output from USB port | Weak sunlight, faulty cable/device | Move panel to full sun; try different USB cable/device; check device compatibility. |
| Battery not charging | Wrong connections, dead battery, shading | Verify red/black clip polarity; test battery voltage (must be >10V); remove shadows from panel. |
| Low charging current | Cloudy day, dirty panel, angle | Clean panel surface; adjust angle towards sun; wait for stronger sunlight. |
| DC clips get hot | Loose connection, short circuit | Ensure clips grip terminals tightly; check for frayed wires or shorts; disconnect and inspect. |
| Panel surface delaminating | Physical damage, extreme heat | Discontinue use; contact Renogy support for warranty assessment. |
Reset: Disconnect all cables, wait 30 seconds, and reconnect.
