Installation

Select a dry, well-ventilated location. Ensure secure mounting.

  1. Mounting: Secure inverter using provided hardware. Allow minimum 2 inches clearance on all sides for ventilation.
  2. DC Connection: Connect positive (+) cable from battery to red terminal, negative (-) to black terminal. Use appropriate gauge cables (refer to manual).
  3. AC Connection: Plug devices directly into AC outlets. Do not hardwire to building AC wiring without qualified electrician.
  4. Remote Connection: Connect optional remote control cable to 3-pin port if used.
  5. Final Check: Ensure all connections are tight and polarity is correct.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock and fire. Install fuse or circuit breaker within 18 inches of battery positive terminal. Follow all local electrical codes.

First-Time Setup

After installation, verify operation before connecting sensitive equipment.

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and battery is charged.
  2. Turn on inverter using power switch or remote. Green POWER LED should illuminate.
  3. Connect a small, non-critical load (e.g., lamp) to verify AC output.
  4. Check for normal operation: quiet fan, no warning LEDs (red).
  5. If using remote panel, follow its separate setup instructions.

CAUTION! Do not connect sensitive electronics (computers, medical devices) until inverter operation is confirmed stable for several minutes.

Specifications

Controls and Connections

Front Panel: POWER switch, POWER LED (green), FAULT LED (red), two AC outlets.

Side/Terminal Panel: DC Input Terminals (+ / -), Remote Control Port (3-pin), Cooling Fan Vent.

Status Indicators: - Green POWER LED: Steady = Normal operation. Blinking = Low battery warning. - Red FAULT LED: Steady = Fault condition (overload, over-temperature, short circuit). Blinking = High battery voltage.

Remote Control (Optional): Provides on/off control, status monitoring, and fault code display from a distance.

Operation

  1. Turning On: Ensure DC power is connected. Flip front panel POWER switch to ON (I). Green LED illuminates.
  2. Connecting Loads: Plug AC devices into outlets. Do not exceed 1180W continuous load.
  3. Monitoring: Observe status LEDs. Listen for fan operation under load (normal).
  4. Turning Off: Unplug all loads. Flip POWER switch to OFF (O). Green LED turns off.
  5. Using Remote: If installed, use remote for primary on/off control. Front panel switch must be ON.

Tip: For motor-driven tools or appliances with high startup surge, ensure their surge rating is below 2400W.

Protection Features

The inverter includes multiple safeguards. A fault will shut down output and illuminate the red FAULT LED.

Troubleshooting

SymptomPossible CauseCorrective Action
No power, no LEDsNo DC power, blown fuse, poor connectionCheck battery voltage. Inspect and tighten DC connections. Check inline fuse/circuit breaker.
Green LED on, no AC outputRemote is off, overload shutdownIf using remote, ensure it's on. Power cycle inverter. Check for overload.
Red FAULT LED onOverload, short circuit, over-temperatureDisconnect all loads. Allow to cool if hot. Power cycle. Reconnect loads one by one.
Green LED blinkingLow battery voltageRecharge battery. Check battery health and cable size.
Red LED blinkingHigh battery voltageCheck vehicle/charger voltage regulator. Disconnect until charging system is repaired.
Inverter shuts down under loadOverload, low battery, high battery, overheatingMeasure load with wattmeter. Check battery voltage under load. Ensure proper ventilation.
Fan runs continuously or loudlyHigh ambient temperature, high loadEnsure adequate ventilation. Reduce load if possible. This may be normal under heavy use.

Reset: For most faults, disconnect all loads and DC power for 30 seconds, then reconnect.
