Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper mounting location.

  1. Mount sensor: Use provided M30 bracket; secure with 22mm wrench.
  2. Connect power: Wire DC power to terminals 1(+) and 2(-).
  3. Connect outputs: Wire digital outputs to terminals 3 and 4; analog to terminal 5.
  4. Connect communication: RS-485 to terminals A(+) and B(-) with termination if needed.
  5. Apply power and verify green LED illuminates.

WARNING! Disconnect power before installation. Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrical damage.

First-Time Setup

Power on sensor; follow configuration steps.

  1. Set operating mode: Press TEACH button for 3 seconds to enter setup mode.
  2. Configure outputs: Use configuration software or teach button to set switching points.
  3. Set communication: Configure Modbus address and baud rate (default 9600, 8N1).
  4. Calibrate: Use reference target at 15mm distance for optimal calibration.
  5. Save settings: Press TEACH button for 5 seconds to store configuration.

CAUTION! Ensure target material matches calibration material for accurate measurements.

Specifications

Software Interface: Prouser ConfigTool for Windows. Parameters: Sensing mode, Output logic, Hysteresis, Response time, Analog scaling, Communication settings.

Digital Outputs: Configurable as normally open/closed, light/dark operate. Analog Output: Selectable 0-10V or 4-20mA, linear/inverse scaling. Advanced: Temperature compensation, filtering, multi-point calibration.

Connecting Devices

Power: 12-24V DC. PLC: Digital inputs. Controller: Analog input. Network: RS-485 daisy chain.

  1. Turn off power before making connections.
  2. Use shielded cable for analog and communication lines.
  3. Connect shield to ground at controller end only.
  4. For RS-485 networks, terminate last device with 120Ω resistor.
  5. Verify connections match pinout diagram.

Tip: Keep communication cables separate from power cables to reduce noise.

Operating Modes

Supports multiple detection and output modes.

  1. Standard Mode: Single switching point with adjustable hysteresis.
  2. Window Mode: Two switching points defining acceptable range.
  3. Analog Mode: Continuous distance measurement via analog output.
  4. Teach Mode: Learn target positions via button or software.
  5. Logic Mode: AND/OR combinations of sensing values.
  6. Batch Mode: Count objects with programmable batch size.
  7. IO-Link Mode: Advanced parameterization and diagnostics (optional).

WARNING! Do not exceed maximum switching frequency of 1kHz to prevent damage.

Advanced Functions

Temperature Compensation: Automatic adjustment for ambient temperature changes. Diagnostics: Built-in fault detection for overload, short circuit, temperature. Data Logging: Store up to 1000 measurement values (optional). Multi-sensor Synchronization: Coordinate multiple sensors via RS-485.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Disconnect power before maintenance. Clean sensing face with isopropyl alcohol and soft cloth. Check mounting hardware quarterly for tightness.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or compressed air directly on sensing face. Avoid mechanical impacts.
