Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.

  1. Choose Location: Place the charger in direct sunlight, free from shadows.
  2. Deploy Kickstand: Unfold the kickstand on the back and adjust the angle to face the sun directly.
  3. Secure Cables: Route your device's charging cable through the cable management slot if desired.
  4. No External Power Required: The charger operates solely on solar energy.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or submerge in water. Keep the solar panel surface clean for maximum efficiency.

First-Time Setup

Position the charger and connect your device to begin charging.

  1. Optimal Positioning: For best results, position the panel where it receives unobstructed sunlight between 10 AM and 4 PM.
  2. Connect Device: Plug your device's USB cable into one of the charger's USB output ports.
  3. Check Indicator: The blue LED indicator should light up, confirming the panel is generating power.
  4. Monitor Charging: Your device should indicate it is charging. Charging speed depends on sunlight intensity.

CAUTION! The surface can get hot in direct sunlight. Handle with care and keep away from flammable materials.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

This is a plug-and-play device with no user-configurable electronic settings. Operation is controlled by physical positioning and connection.

Physical Controls: Adjustable Kickstand (for panel angle), Cable Management Slot.

Indicator: A single blue LED next to the USB ports. ON (Lit): The panel is generating sufficient power. OFF (Unlit): Insufficient sunlight or no load connected.

Smart IC: Automatically manages output. No manual switching between devices is required.

Connecting Devices

Connect any standard USB-charged device using its own cable.

  1. Use the USB cable that came with your device or a high-quality certified cable.
  2. Plug the USB-A end of the cable into either of the charger's output ports.
  3. Plug the other end (Micro-USB, USB-C, Lightning, etc.) into your device.
  4. The device should begin charging automatically if sunlight is adequate.

Tip: For fastest charging, connect only one device at a time to allow it to draw the full 2A. Charging two devices simultaneously will share the available power.

Charging Operation

Designed for charging USB-powered devices via solar energy.

  1. Ensure Direct Sunlight: Performance is directly tied to sunlight intensity. Full, direct sun is required for rated output.
  2. Check Connection: Ensure all cable connections are secure.
  3. Monitor Device: Your device's screen or battery icon will show the charging status.
  4. Charging Time: Varies greatly based on device battery capacity, sunlight conditions, and whether the device is in use. It is typically slower than a wall charger.
  5. Disconnecting: Simply unplug your device when charging is complete or when moving the charger.

WARNING! Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the charger. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Safety Features

Built-in protections for safe operation: Over-current Protection, Short-Circuit Protection, Reverse Polarity Protection. The Smart IC prevents overcharging by matching the device's required input.

Important: This charger is designed for outdoor use with low-voltage USB devices. It is NOT intended for direct connection to car batteries, home electrical systems, or high-power appliances.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning maintains optimal efficiency.

  1. Unplug all devices before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the solar panel surface gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or bird droppings.
  3. Use mild soap and water if necessary, but avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before storage or use.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

CAUTION! Do not use high-pressure water jets. Do not bend or puncture the solar panel.

Troubleshooting

SymptomPossible CauseCorrective Action
Device not chargingInsufficient sunlight, bad connectionMove charger to direct sun; check all cable connections; try a different USB cable.
LED indicator not litPanel in shade, damaged panelReposition to full sun. If still unlit in direct sun, the unit may be faulty.
Charging is very slowCloudy day, panel angle, device in useWait for stronger sun; adjust panel angle perpendicular to sun; turn device off while charging.
Only one port worksSmart IC prioritizing powerThis is normal under low light. Try charging one device at a time in bright sun.
Charger gets very hotNormal in direct sunThis is expected. Efficiency may drop slightly. Ensure it is on a stable surface.

Reset: Disconnect all devices, move the charger to shade for 2 minutes, then reposition in sun and reconnect.
