Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Mount in appropriate location.

  1. Mount the unit: Use provided brackets to mount in rack or on wall.
  2. Connect sensors: Attach temperature, humidity, and other sensors to designated inputs.
  3. Connect network: Use Ethernet cable to connect to local network.
  4. Connect power: Attach 12V DC power supply to unit and plug into AC outlet.
  5. Connect alarm outputs: Wire relay outputs to external alarms if needed.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation around unit. Keep away from moisture and extreme temperatures during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; access web interface for initial configuration.

  1. Network access: Connect to unit via Ethernet; default IP is 192.168.1.100.
  2. Login: Use default credentials (admin/admin) to access web interface.
  3. Configure network: Set static IP or DHCP as needed for your network.
  4. Configure sensors: Calibrate and name each connected sensor.
  5. Set thresholds: Define temperature, humidity, and other parameter limits.
  6. Configure alerts: Set up email/SMS notifications for alarm conditions.

CAUTION! Change default passwords immediately. Ensure network security settings are configured properly.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access configuration via web interface or front panel buttons.

Front Panel: Power button, Reset button, Status LEDs (Power, Network, Alarm).

Web Interface: Dashboard (real-time readings), Configuration (sensor setup, thresholds), Alerts (notification settings), Reports (historical data), System (network, time, users).

Sensor Configuration: Calibrate, name, set units (°C/°F, %RH). Threshold Settings: High/low limits for each parameter with hysteresis. Alert Configuration: Email recipients, SMS numbers, escalation rules. User Management: Create accounts with different permission levels. System Settings: Network configuration, time synchronization, data backup.

Connecting Devices

Sensors: Connect to labeled input ports. Network: Ethernet cable to network switch. Power: 12V DC adapter.

  1. Turn off power before connecting sensors.
  2. Match sensor type to appropriate input port.
  3. Use shielded cables for long sensor runs to reduce interference.
  4. Connect network cable to switch/router with internet access for remote alerts.
  5. Connect external alarms to relay outputs if needed.

Tip: Label all sensor cables during installation for easy identification.

Monitoring and Alerts

Real-time monitoring of environmental conditions with configurable alerts.

  1. View dashboard: Access web interface to see current readings from all sensors.
  2. Check status: Green = normal, Yellow = warning, Red = alarm.
  3. Review history: Access data logs to view historical trends.
  4. Configure alerts: Set thresholds that trigger notifications.
  5. Alert types: Email, SMS, audible alarm, relay activation.
  6. Alert escalation: Configure multiple recipients and retry intervals.
  7. Acknowledge alarms: Log in to acknowledge and reset alarm conditions.
  8. Generate reports: Export data for analysis or compliance reporting.

WARNING! Test alarm notifications after installation. Ensure contact information is current.

Network Configuration

Configure network settings for remote access and notifications.

  1. IP Configuration: Static IP or DHCP assignment.
  2. DNS Settings: Configure for internet access and email alerts.
