The Novodes LoriSense Basic is a compact, entry-level environmental sensor unit designed for home and office use. It monitors temperature, humidity, and ambient light levels, featuring a simple LCD display, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), a built-in rechargeable battery, USB-C charging port, and a companion mobile app for data visualization and alerts. Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable location.

1. Place the unit: Position on a flat, stable surface away from direct heat sources, vents, or moisture.
2. Wall mounting (optional): Use the slot on the back with a suitable screw or adhesive mount.
3. Initial power: Charge the unit via the provided USB-C cable before first use.

WARNING! Do not place in direct sunlight, near water, or in extreme temperatures. Ensure ventilation around the sensors.

First-Time Setup

Power on the unit; follow these steps for initial configuration.

1. Charge the battery: Connect USB-C cable to a power source until the battery icon on the display is full.
2. Power on: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds until the display lights up.
3. Pair with mobile app: Download the "LoriSense" app from your device's app store. Press the Bluetooth Pairing button on the unit, then follow in-app instructions.
4. Calibrate (optional): The app may guide you through a quick calibration for optimal accuracy.

CAUTION! Use only the provided or certified USB-C cable and charger. Do not disassemble the unit.

Controls and Settings

Connecting to Mobile App

3. Press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing button on the unit for 5 seconds until the Bluetooth icon blinks.
4. Select "LoriSense Basic-XXXX" from the app's device list.
5. Follow on-screen prompts to complete pairing.

Tip: Keep the unit within 10 meters (33 feet) of your mobile device for a stable connection.

Monitoring Data

View data on the unit's display or in the mobile app.

1. On-unit display: Use the Power/Mode button to cycle through real-time readings.
2. In the app: View a consolidated dashboard with all sensor readings, updated at the set interval.
3. Historical data: The app stores data locally (on your phone) for up to 30 days. View trends in graph form.
4. Export data: Use the app's export feature to save data as a CSV file for external analysis.

WARNING! Sensor readings are for informational purposes only. Not intended for critical medical, industrial, or safety applications.

Alerts & Notifications

Set custom thresholds to receive alerts via the mobile app.

1. Open the LoriSense app and go to 'Alerts' section.
2. For each sensor (Temp, Humidity, Light), set a minimum and maximum value.
3. Enable push notifications in your phone's settings for the LoriSense app.
4. When a reading exceeds your set threshold, you will receive a notification.

Note: Alerts require the app to be running in the background and a Bluetooth connection to be active.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug charging cable before cleaning. Power off the unit if possible.

Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the exterior and the display. Do not use liquids, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the sensor vents on the front are free of dust and obstructions.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or any liquid. Avoid contact with chemicals.

Troubleshooting

Reset: Press and hold Power/Mode and Pairing buttons together for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset (erases all pairings).
