Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose an appropriate location for monitoring.

  1. Select location: Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and obstructions to airflow.
  2. Mount unit: Use provided bracket to secure to wall or pole at desired height.
  3. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  4. Power on: Press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds to initialize.

WARNING! Do not install in corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Ensure mounting surface is stable.

First-Time Setup

Power on the unit; follow on-screen prompts or use the MENU button.

  1. Set date and time: Navigate to SYSTEM > DATE/TIME using arrow keys.
  2. Select units: Choose between metric (°C, hPa) or imperial (°F, inHg) in UNITS menu.
  3. Configure logging interval: Set time between recorded measurements (1 min to 24 hrs).
  4. Calibrate sensors (optional): Use reference instruments for high-accuracy applications.

CAUTION! Handle sensors with care; avoid touching sensing elements directly.

Controls and Settings

Access menu via MENU button. Front Panel: POWER, MENU, UP/DOWN arrows, SELECT, BACK.

Display Screens: Cycle through using SELECT button to view current readings, min/max values, graphs, and system status.

Settings Menu: SYSTEM (Date/Time, Units, Language), LOGGING (Interval, Start/Stop, Memory), ALARMS (Setpoints, Hysteresis, Enable/Disable), CONNECTIVITY (USB mode, Wireless setup), CALIBRATION (Access via password). Default language is ENGLISH.

Connecting Devices

USB: For data and power. Wireless: For models with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi.

  1. Turn off unit before connecting USB cable.
  2. Connect USB cable to PC and to unit's USB port.
  3. Power on unit; it will be recognized as a removable drive or COM port.
  4. For wireless, enable in CONNECTIVITY menu and pair with host device/software.

Tip: Use the included USB cable for reliable data transfer.

Data Logging & Retrieval

Continuously records measurements at set interval.

  1. Start/Stop Logging: Navigate to LOGGING > START/STOP.
  2. View Stored Data: On device via LOGGING > REVIEW. On PC via Novalynx DataSuite software.
  3. Download Data: Connect via USB. Open DataSuite software and click "Download Data".
  4. Clear Memory: LOGGING > CLEAR MEMORY (requires confirmation).
  5. Export Data: DataSuite allows export to CSV, TXT, or Excel formats.

WARNING! Clearing memory is irreversible. Download data regularly to avoid loss.

Alarm Configuration

Set visual and audible alarms for parameter limits.

  1. Navigate to ALARMS menu.
  2. Select parameter (Temp, Humidity, Pressure).
  3. Set HIGH and LOW alarm setpoints.
  4. Set hysteresis value to prevent alarm "chatter".
  5. Enable or disable the alarm.
  6. Test alarm by temporarily exceeding a setpoint.

Alarm indicators: Flashing display icon and audible beep (can be muted).

Care & Maintenance

Power off and disconnect before cleaning. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Sensor filter: Replace annually or as needed in dusty environments. Battery: Replace when low battery icon appears.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Do not attempt to recalibrate unless certified.
