Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Install on level, stable surface.

  1. Position unit: Place in accessible location near water source and drain.
  2. Connect inlet/outlet: Use appropriate piping (copper, PVC, or PEX) with proper fittings.
  3. Connect drain line: Attach to drain valve for backwash discharge.
  4. Electrical connection: Connect to 120V AC power source with proper grounding.
  5. Pressure test: Check all connections for leaks before operation.

WARNING! System is heavy; use proper lifting equipment. Ensure all connections are secure and pressure-rated for system requirements.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow control panel prompts.

  1. Initialization: System will run self-test; check for error codes.
  2. Set date/time: Configure system clock for accurate maintenance scheduling.
  3. Program backwash cycle: Set frequency based on water quality (default: every 72 hours).
  4. Configure remote monitoring: Set up network parameters if using remote access.
  5. Calibrate pressure sensors: Follow on-screen calibration procedure.

CAUTION! Ensure water supply is turned off during initial setup. Verify drain line is properly connected before starting first backwash cycle.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access control menu via touch panel. Front Panel: POWER, MENU, BACK, ENTER, UP/DOWN arrows.

Control Functions: Power On/Off, Backwash Initiate, Manual Override, Settings Menu, Status Display.

Settings Menu: Backwash Schedule, Pressure Limits, Remote Access, Language (ENGLISH default), Units (PSI/GPM), Maintenance Alerts, System Reset. Operational Modes: Normal Filtration, Backwash Cycle, Bypass Mode, Manual Control.

Connecting System Components

Water Connections: Inlet, Outlet, Drain. Electrical: Power cord, Remote monitoring cable.

  1. Turn off main water supply before making connections.
  2. Install isolation valves on inlet and outlet for maintenance.
  3. Use thread seal tape on all pipe connections.
  4. Connect drain line with proper slope for gravity flow.
  5. For remote monitoring: Connect Ethernet cable to network port.

Tip: Install pressure relief valve if system pressure may exceed 150 PSI. Keep electrical connections away from water sources.

Operating Procedures

Normal operation maintains water filtration; backwash cleans filter media.

  1. Startup: Open inlet valve slowly, then outlet valve. Power on system.
  2. Monitor pressure: Check differential pressure (inlet vs outlet).
  3. Automatic backwash: System initiates based on schedule or pressure differential.
  4. Manual backwash: Press BACKWASH button on control panel when needed.
  5. Bypass mode: Use for system maintenance without interrupting water flow.
  6. Filter replacement: Initiate when system indicates or pressure differential exceeds 15 PSI.

WARNING! Do not open filter housing under pressure. Always shut off water supply and relieve pressure before maintenance.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Check pressure readings, inspect for leaks.
  2. Weekly: Verify backwash cycle completion, check drain line.
  3. Monthly: Inspect filter cartridges, clean pre-filter screen.
  4. Quarterly: Replace filter cartridges as needed, calibrate pressure sensors.
  5. Annually: Complete system inspection, replace O-rings and gaskets.

CAUTION! Use only manufacturer-approved replacement parts. Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during maintenance.

Safety Features

High-pressure shut-off: Automatic at 150 PSI. Thermal protection: Prevents motor overheating. Leak detection: Optional sensor kit. Emergency stop: Manual override button. Ground fault protection: Built-in GFCI for electrical safety.
