Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose optimal location for solar exposure.

  1. Select location: Place in area with direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily.
  2. Ground installation: Insert stake into ground; attach light unit securely.
  3. Wall installation: Use mounting bracket and screws provided; ensure firm attachment.
  4. Position solar panel: Angle toward south (northern hemisphere) for maximum sun exposure.

WARNING! Do not install near flammable materials. Ensure mounting surface is stable.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, fully charge the battery.

  1. Initial charge: Place in direct sunlight for 8-12 hours with power switch OFF.
  2. Check indicator: Charging LED should illuminate (usually red/green).
  3. Set mode: Use mode selector to choose desired lighting operation.
  4. Test operation: Cover light sensor to simulate darkness; light should turn on.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme temperatures during initial charge.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access controls via physical switches and sensors on the unit.

Power Switch: Three positions - OFF, AUTO (sensor-controlled), ON (constant).

Mode Selector: Switch between: - Constant Mode: Light remains on throughout the night. - Motion Mode: Light activates only when motion is detected. - Dim Mode: Light remains at 30% brightness, brightens to 100% with motion.

Sensitivity Adjustment: Adjust motion sensor range via dial (if equipped).

Timer Settings: Some models include adjustable duration (30s, 1min, 5min) for motion-activated light.

Connecting Devices

The SOLAR LED10 is a standalone unit; no external connections required for basic operation.

  1. Optional daisy-chaining: Some models allow connection of additional lights (check if equipped).
  2. Remote control: Compatible with optional wireless remote (sold separately).
  3. Smart home integration: Not supported; standalone operation only.

Tip: For optimal performance, ensure no shadows cover solar panel during daylight.

Operating Modes

Three primary operating modes available.

  1. AUTO Mode: Light turns on automatically at dusk, off at dawn. Uses light sensor.
  2. Motion Sensor Mode: Activates only when motion detected within range. Returns to standby after preset time.
  3. Constant On Mode: Light remains illuminated continuously until battery depletes or manually turned off.
  4. Test Mode: Cover solar panel/light sensor to immediately activate light for testing.

WARNING! Do not stare directly at LEDs. Keep away from children's reach.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean solar panel weekly with soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
  2. Check mounting monthly for stability and reposition if shading occurs.
  3. Battery replacement: After 1-2 years, battery may need replacement (use compatible Ni-MH).
  4. Winter care: In snowy conditions, clear snow from solar panel regularly.

Care & Cleaning

Turn switch OFF before cleaning. Use only mild soap and water on exterior surfaces.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Never submerge in water despite IP65 rating.
