Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a central location for optimal wireless coverage.

  1. Connect to power: Plug the USB-C power adapter into the hub and a wall outlet.
  2. Connect to network: Use Wi-Fi (via app) or Ethernet cable for internet access.
  3. Place the hub: Position on a stable surface, away from metal objects and other electronics.
  4. Power on: The status LED will illuminate.

WARNING! Use only the provided power adapter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the hub.

First-Time Setup

Power on the hub; download the "Link2Home" app from your device's app store.

  1. Create an account: Open the app and follow prompts to create a user account.
  2. Add your hub: In the app, select "Add Device," choose "Hub," and follow on-screen instructions.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your network credentials when prompted by the app.
  4. Update firmware: The app will check for and install any available updates.

CAUTION! Keep the hub away from water and extreme temperatures during setup.

Primary control is via the Link2Home mobile app. Physical Controls: Pairing Button, Microphone Mute Switch.

App Dashboard: Device list, Scenes, Routines, Energy Monitor, Security Settings.

Device Settings: Rename devices, assign rooms, adjust parameters (e.g., light brightness). Automation: Create routines based on time, sensor triggers, or voice commands. Security: Set up alerts for door/window sensors, cameras. Voice Control: Link to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant accounts. Network: View connection status, change Wi-Fi settings.

Connecting Devices

Supports adding smart lights, plugs, sensors, locks, and more.

  1. Put device in pairing mode: Refer to the device's manual (usually involves pressing a button).
  2. Open Link2Home app: Tap "+" or "Add Device."
  3. Select device type: The app will search for nearby devices.
  4. Follow prompts: Name the device and assign it to a room.

Tip: Ensure the smart device is within range (approx. 30 ft) of the hub during pairing.

Using Automation Features

Create routines to automate multiple devices with a single trigger.

  1. Open Routines: In the app, go to the "Automation" tab.
  2. Create New: Tap "Create Routine."
  3. Set Trigger: Choose from Time, Device Status (e.g., sensor triggered), or Voice Command.
  4. Add Actions: Select which devices to control and what state to set (e.g., turn lights on, adjust thermostat).
  5. Save: Name your routine and activate it.
  6. Test: Manually trigger the routine to verify it works.
  7. Edit/Delete: Manage routines from the Automation tab.

WARNING! Test security-related routines (like door locks) thoroughly before relying on them.

Voice Control Setup

Integrate with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice commands.

  1. Enable Skill/Action: In your Alexa or Google Home app, search for "Link2Home" skill/action and enable it.
  2. Link Account: Log in with your Link2Home app credentials when prompted.
  3. Discover Devices: Ask your voice assistant to "discover devices." The hub will sync your devices.
  4. Control: Use voice commands like "Alexa, turn on the living room lights."

Note: Microphone on the hub must be unmuted (switch position) for it to respond to "Hey Link2Home" commands if supported.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or compressed air.

CAUTION! Avoid getting moisture into ports or vents. Do not disassemble the unit.
