Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before beginning.

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable outdoor location (wall, eave, post) that provides clear coverage of the area to be monitored and illuminated.
  2. Mount Bracket: Use the provided template (if included) to mark drill holes. Secure the mounting bracket using appropriate screws and anchors for your surface.
  3. Wire Connection: Pass the power cable through the cable gland on the light housing. Connect the wires (Live, Neutral, Earth/Ground) to your household wiring according to local electrical codes. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
  4. Attach Light: Mount the floodlight onto the bracket and tighten the adjustment knobs securely.
  5. Seal Entry Point: Tighten the cable gland to ensure a weatherproof seal around the power cable.

WARNING! Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before working on wiring. Do not install near heat sources or flammable materials.

First-Time Setup

After installation, restore power and configure the sensor settings.

  1. Power On: Turn on the circuit breaker. The light may flash once to indicate power.
  2. Set Mode: Use the mode switch (often on the sensor housing or inside a cover) to select AUTO.
  3. Adjust Sensitivity (SENS): Turn the sensitivity dial to mid-range. Test by walking within the detection zone. Increase for greater range/sensitivity, decrease to avoid false triggers.
  4. Adjust Time Delay (TIME): Set how long the light stays on after motion ceases (e.g., from 5 seconds to 10 minutes). Start with a medium setting (e.g., 1 minute).
  5. Adjust Lux Level (LUX): Set the ambient light threshold. Turn fully clockwise (max) for light to operate only at night. Turn counter-clockwise for the light to activate even in daylight if motion is detected.
  6. Aim Sensor: Loosen the adjustment knobs and point the sensor lens towards the primary detection area. Avoid pointing directly at heat sources, moving foliage, or busy streets to reduce false alarms.

CAUTION! Do not open the housing while powered on. Make adjustments with dry hands.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Settings are adjusted via dials or switches located under a weatherproof cover on the sensor housing.

Mode Switch (OFF/AUTO/ON):
OFF: Light and sensor are disabled.
AUTO: Light activates based on motion and ambient light (LUX) settings.
ON: Light remains on constantly, ignoring sensor.

Adjustment Dials:
SENS (Sensitivity): Controls the detection range and sensitivity to movement.
TIME (Delay): Sets the duration the light stays on after the last detected motion.
LUX (Ambient Light): Sets the darkness level required for the light to activate.

Physical Adjustment: Loosen the knobs on the mounting bracket to tilt the light and sensor up/down and left/right.

Connecting to Power

The light must be connected to a permanent live AC supply with a protective earth (ground).

  1. Ensure the main power is OFF.
  2. Connect the light's Brown (or Black) wire to the LINE/LIVE terminal.
  3. Connect the light's Blue (or White) wire to the NEUTRAL terminal.
  4. Connect the light's Green/Yellow wire to the EARTH/GROUND terminal.
  5. Secure all connections in a suitable outdoor-rated junction box.

Tip: Use conduit for exposed wiring runs to provide additional physical and weather protection.

Using the Motion Sensor

For optimal performance in AUTO mode:

  1. Walk Test: After configuration, walk through the detection zone. The light should turn on within 1-2 seconds.
  2. Fine-Tune: If the light does not turn on, increase SENSITIVITY. If it turns on for non-target movement (like trees), decrease SENSITIVITY or re-aim the sensor.
  3. Time Delay: Adjust the TIME setting based on need. A shorter time saves energy; a longer time provides extended illumination.
  4. Night-Only Operation: For security lighting, set the LUX dial to maximum so the light only operates in complete darkness.
  5. Constant Light: Switch to ON mode for parties or when continuous area light is needed.

WARNING! Do not stare directly into the LED light. The sensor is designed to detect moving heat sources; very slow movement or objects blocked by glass may not be detected.

Maintenance

Periodic maintenance ensures long-term performance.

CAUTION! Always disconnect power before cleaning or servicing. Do not open the sealed electronics compartment.

Regulatory Information

This product complies with relevant safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) directives. It is designed for outdoor use in dry or damp locations. Disposal must be in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste (WEEE). The LED light source is not user-replaceable; the entire unit must be replaced at end of life. For support, visit the manufacturer's website or contact customer service.
