Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Choose a location with maximum sunlight exposure.

  1. Mount Solar Panel: Use brackets to secure panel facing south (northern hemisphere) at optimal angle.
  2. Position Enclosure: Mount weatherproof enclosure in a shaded, ventilated area near camera.
  3. Connect Solar Panel to Controller: Use provided cables; connect positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
  4. Connect Battery to Controller: Attach battery terminals to controller's BAT input.
  5. Connect CCTV Camera: Plug camera into 12V DC output port.
  6. Ground the System: Attach grounding wire to earth ground point for safety.

WARNING! Install during daylight; avoid shading on panel. Ensure all connections are tight and waterproof.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure settings.

  1. Initial Charge: Allow solar panel to charge battery fully (LCD shows 100%).
  2. Configure Controller: Press SET button on controller to set battery type (select SLA).
  3. Set Load Output: Configure output voltage (12V default) and timer if needed.
  4. Test Camera: Power on CCTV camera; verify feed and night vision operation.
  5. Check Indicators: Ensure all LED/LCD indicators show normal status (green).

CAUTION! Do not connect loads exceeding 80W total. Keep battery terminals covered.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Charge Controller Front Panel: LCD Display, SET Button, UP/DOWN Buttons, LED Indicators (Solar, Battery, Load).

LCD Display: Shows battery voltage (V), charging current (A), load current (A), battery level (%).

Settings Menu: Access by pressing SET for 3 seconds. Navigate with UP/DOWN to adjust: Battery Type (SLA, Gel, Flooded), Load Timing (On/Off schedules), Voltage Protections (LVD/HVD).

LED Indicators: Solar (green=charging, off=no sun), Battery (green=good, red=low), Load (green=on, red=overload).

Connecting Devices

Connect CCTV cameras and accessories to output ports.

  1. Ensure system is powered off before connecting devices.
  2. Plug CCTV camera into 12V DC port using provided cable.
  3. Connect accessories (e.g., IR illuminator) to USB port if 5V required.
  4. Power on system; verify device operation on controller display.

Tip: Use only 12V DC cameras with current draw under 6A total. Do not short-circuit outputs.

Operation Modes

System operates automatically based on sunlight and load.

  1. Day Mode: Solar panel charges battery; powers load directly if sufficient sun.
  2. Night Mode: Battery powers load; low voltage disconnect protects battery.
  3. Timer Mode: Set load on/off times via controller (e.g., camera recording schedule).
  4. Manual Override: Press LOAD button on controller to force load on/off.
  5. Monitoring: Check LCD regularly for system status; note any warning indicators.

WARNING! Do not disconnect battery while solar panel is charging. Avoid covering panel during operation.

Maintenance & Safety

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and safety.

CAUTION! Disconnect solar panel before servicing. Do not open battery compartment. Keep away from flammable materials.
