Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before installation and operation.

1. Disconnect all power sources before servicing or installing.
2. Ensure the unit is properly grounded according to local electrical codes.
3. Do not install in an area with flammable gases or liquids.
4. Use at least two people to lift and position the unit.
5. Ensure the wall sleeve and unit are securely mounted to prevent falling.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Only qualified personnel should perform electrical connections. Ensure power supply matches unit specifications.

Installation Requirements

Tools needed: Drill, Level, Screwdrivers, Wrenches, Saw (for wall opening), Tape measure, Voltage tester.

1. Location: Select an exterior wall with sufficient structural support, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and obstructions to airflow.
2. Wall Opening: Cut a precise opening according to the dimensions provided in the wall sleeve template.
3. Clearances: Maintain minimum clearances: 20 inches (50 cm) front, 8 inches (20 cm) sides and top for proper airflow and service access.
4. Drainage: Plan for condensate drain line with a slight downward slope away from the unit.

CAUTION! The unit is heavy. Use proper lifting techniques and secure mounting to prevent injury or damage.

Installation Procedure

Follow these steps in order for correct installation.

1. Prepare Wall Opening: Use the provided template to mark and cut the opening in the exterior wall. Ensure it is level and square.
2. Install Wall Sleeve: Insert the sleeve into the opening from the outside. Secure it to the wall structure using screws provided. Ensure it is level and sealed against weather infiltration.
3. Mount Chassis: With help, lift the unit and carefully slide it into the wall sleeve from the inside until it clicks or locks into place. Secure with the mounting screws.
4. Connect Drain Hose: Attach the flexible drain hose to the unit's drain port. Route the hose to a suitable drain or outside, ensuring a downward slope.
5. Install Front Grille: Attach the decorative front grille by aligning and snapping it into place or securing with screws.

Tip: Apply sealant (not included) around the exterior of the wall sleeve to prevent water and air leaks.

Electrical Connection

Electrical work must comply with national and local codes. Use a dedicated circuit.

1. Turn OFF the main circuit breaker.
2. Remove the unit's front grille and access panel to reveal the terminal block.
3. Run a properly rated power cable (e.g., 3x1.5mm²) from the dedicated circuit breaker to the unit.
4. Connect the wires to the terminal block: L (Live), N (Neutral), and  (Earth/Ground). Tighten securely.
5. Secure the cable with the strain relief clamp. Replace the access panel and grille.
6. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

WARNING! Incorrect wiring can cause fire or unit failure. Verify connections with a qualified electrician.

Initial Startup & Operation

After installation and electrical connection, perform initial startup.

1. Ensure the front grille is properly installed and no tools are inside the unit.
2. Plug in the unit or turn on the dedicated circuit breaker.
3. You will hear a beep and the control panel LEDs will illuminate.
4. Press the POWER button on the remote or control panel. The unit will start in standby mode.
5. Select the desired mode (Cool, Heat, Fan, etc.) and temperature using the remote.
6. Allow the unit to run for 15-20 minutes. Check for cool/heated air output and listen for unusual noises.
7. Verify condensate is draining properly.

CAUTION! Do not operate the unit without the air filter installed.

Control Panel & Remote

Control Panel (on unit): POWER button, MODE selector, TEMP adjustment buttons, FAN SPEED button, LED display for set temperature and mode indicators.

Remote Control: POWER, MODE (Auto, Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan), TEMP ▲/▼, FAN SPEED, TIMER ON/OFF, SLEEP MODE, SWING (air direction), LED display. Install 2 x AAA batteries.

Basic Operation: Point remote at the unit's IR sensor. Select MODE. Set desired temperature. Select FAN SPEED. Use TIMER to schedule operation. Use SLEEP for quiet, efficient nighttime operation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

1. Air Filter: Clean every two weeks during operation. Remove filter by pulling the tab. Wash with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Dry completely before reinstalling.
2. Front Grille & Case: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Condensate Drain: Check periodically for clogs. Flush with water if necessary.
4. Outdoor Coils: Keep the exterior louvers free of leaves, dirt, and obstructions. Gently vacuum if accessible.
5. Winter Storage (if not used): Cover the external part with a weatherproof cover.

CAUTION! Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance. Do not wash the unit with water.
