Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present.

First-Time Setup

Scanning Operations

  1. Manual Tune: Use keypad to enter frequency directly.
  2. Start Scanning: Press SCAN to scan programmed channels or service searches.
  3. Hold on Channel: Press HOLD to pause on active transmission.
  4. Close Call: Press SRCH to activate Close Call detection of nearby signals.
  5. Weather Alert: Press WX to listen to NOAA weather; enable alerts in menu.
  6. Priority: Enable PRI to monitor priority channel while scanning.
  7. Lock Out: Temporarily skip unwanted channels during scan.
  8. Search: Perform service band searches for new frequencies.

WARNING! Do not use while driving. Obey local laws regarding scanner use.

Advanced Features

Close Call: Detects and tunes to strongest nearby transmission. Priority Scan: Monitors up to 10 priority channels. Search with Store: Automatically saves active frequencies during search. PC Programmable: Use software for advanced configuration and updates.

Care & Cleaning

Turn off and disconnect power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior. Clean display with screen-safe cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
