Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a well-ventilated location.

  1. Position unit: Place on stable, level surface away from heat sources.
  2. Ventilation: Ensure at least 4 inches clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  3. Leveling: Adjust feet using wrench provided to ensure unit is level.
  4. Secure mounting: Use included brackets to secure in RV or marine application.

WARNING! For propane operation, install outdoors or in extremely well-ventilated area only. Keep away from open flames.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, clean interior and initialize cooling system.

  1. Initial cleaning: Wipe interior with mild detergent solution, then dry thoroughly.
  2. Power connection: Connect to preferred power source (AC recommended for initial cool-down).
  3. Temperature setting: Press POWER, then use +/- buttons to set desired temperature.
  4. Mode selection: Press MODE to select AC, DC, or PROPANE operation.
  5. Pre-cool: Allow 4-6 hours to reach set temperature before loading food.

CAUTION! Do not block ventilation grilles. Ensure propane tank valve is closed during connection.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Digital control panel located on front of unit.

Buttons: POWER, MODE, TEMP +, TEMP -, LIGHT, ALARM RESET.

Display shows: Set temperature, actual temperature, power source icon, battery level (DC mode), propane level indicator, alarm symbols.

Settings menu (hold MODE 3 seconds): Temperature units (°F/°C), alarm thresholds, energy priority (AC>DC>Propane or Propane>DC>AC), display brightness.

Default settings: Temperature unit °F, AC priority, alarm at ±10°F from set point.

Power Source Connection

AC Power: Use included power cord to 120V outlet. DC Power: Connect to 12V battery using included cables with fuse. Propane: Connect to standard 20 lb propane tank with included hose and regulator.

  1. Turn off all power sources before connecting.
  2. For DC: Connect red to positive (+), black to negative (-) terminals.
  3. For propane: Ensure tank valve is closed, connect hose, check for leaks with soap solution.
  4. Select source using MODE button.

Tip: For longest battery life, use propane when stationary, switch to DC only when driving.

Operating Modes

Three operational modes with automatic switching capability.

  1. AC Mode: Plug into standard outlet. Most efficient for stationary use with grid power.
  2. DC Mode: Draws from 12V battery. Low voltage protection activates at 10.5V to preserve battery.
  3. Propane Mode: Uses liquid propane. Igniter automatically lights burner. Safety shutoff if flame extinguishes.
  4. Auto Mode: Unit automatically switches between available sources based on priority setting.

WARNING! Never operate propane mode indoors or in enclosed spaces. Carbon monoxide hazard.

Temperature Management

Optimal temperature settings for different contents.

Content TypeRecommended TempNotes
Frozen Foods-4°F to 0°F (-20°C to -18°C)Use fast freeze function for new items
Fresh Meat/Fish28°F to 32°F (-2°C to 0°C)Near freezing but not frozen
Dairy Products34°F to 38°F (1°C to 3°C)Prevents spoilage
Fruits/Vegetables40°F to 45°F (4°C to 7°C)Higher humidity compartment recommended
Beverages38°F to 42°F (3°C to 6°C)For immediate consumption

Fast Freeze: Hold TEMP - for 3 seconds to activate 24-hour maximum cooling.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect all power sources before cleaning.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners on stainless steel.
  2. Interior: Remove all contents, wash with baking soda solution (2 tbsp per quart water).
  3. Door gasket: Clean with mild soapy water, check for proper seal.
  4. Condenser coils: Vacuum dust every 3 months for optimal efficiency.
  5. Long-term storage: Defrost completely, dry interior, leave door slightly ajar.

CAUTION! Never use sharp objects to remove ice. Do not pour water directly on any components.
