Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure mounting location is suitable.

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a wall or ceiling area 7-10 feet above floor, away from direct human occupancy during operation.
  2. Mount Brackets: Use provided screws to attach brackets to wall studs or secure surface.
  3. Attach Fixture: Hang fixture on brackets and secure with locking screws.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 120V AC outlet. Ensure power is OFF during installation.

WARNING! UV-C radiation is harmful to eyes and skin. Never look directly at the lamp when it is on. Ensure the area is unoccupied during installation and setup.

First-Time Setup

After installation, configure the unit before first use.

  1. Power On: Plug into AC outlet. The power LED will illuminate.
  2. Remote Control Sync: Point remote at sensor, press SYNC button for 3 seconds until LED flashes.
  3. Set Timer: Use remote or manual controls to set desired disinfection cycle duration.
  4. Test Motion Sensor: Walk in front of unit to ensure UV-C turns off automatically.
  5. Set Safety Lock: Enable via remote to prevent unintended operation.

CAUTION! Always verify the motion sensor is functioning correctly before leaving the unit in automatic mode. Perform a visual check without looking directly at the lamp.

Operation

Standard operation for disinfection cycles.

  1. Clear Area: Ensure no people, pets, or plants are in the coverage area.
  2. Activate Safety Lock: Enter code on remote to unlock unit.
  3. Set Timer: Select desired disinfection duration (e.g., 15-30 minutes for a standard room).
  4. Start Cycle: Press POWER ON on remote. UV-C lamp will illuminate, and timer will start.
  5. Monitor: The motion sensor will remain active. If motion is detected, the lamp will turn off immediately.
  6. Cycle End: Unit will turn off automatically when timer expires. A beep may sound.
  7. Ventilate: Allow 5-10 minutes after cycle before re-entering room, as UV-C can produce ozone.

WARNING! Never bypass the motion sensor for occupied spaces. UV-C exposure causes severe eye and skin damage.

Maintenance & Lamp Replacement

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

Cleaning: Unplug unit. Wipe exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or cleaners on the grille or lamp.

Lamp Replacement (every 9000 hours or ~1 year of typical use):

  1. Unplug unit and wait 15 minutes for cooling.
  2. Remove protective grille (release clips).
  3. Carefully remove old lamp by twisting counterclockwise.
  4. Insert new 15-watt UV-C lamp (compatible model: EVO-UV15), twisting clockwise until secure.
  5. Replace grille and secure clips.
  6. Plug in and test operation.

CAUTION! Handle UV-C lamps with gloves to avoid skin oils reducing effectiveness. Dispose of old lamps according to local regulations for mercury-containing bulbs.
