Key safety warnings and symbols: High Voltage, Risk of Electric Shock, Fire Hazard, Proper Grounding Required.

Symbol/NoticeDescription
⚠ HIGH VOLTAGELive electrical parts inside. Disconnect all AC and DC power before servicing.
🔥 FIRE HAZARDInstall in a well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
⚡ ELECTRIC SHOCKOnly qualified electricians should perform electrical connections.
🔧 PROPER GROUNDINGUnit must be properly grounded according to local electrical codes.
💧 MOISTURE PROTECTIONInstall in a dry, indoor location. IP65 rated for outdoor use only with optional enclosure.

Unpacking & Inspection

Unpack carefully and verify all components are present and undamaged.

  1. Open the shipping box and remove packing materials.
  2. Check contents: Battery Unit, Hybrid Inverter, Communication Cables, Mounting Bracket, AC/DC Connectors, User Manual.
  3. Inspect for physical damage (dents, cracks, water exposure).
  4. Note the serial number on the unit label for registration and support.

WARNING! Do not install if any component is damaged. Contact Energeeks support immediately.

Installation Overview

Typical system configuration: Solar Panels → Hybrid Inverter → Battery → Home Loads & Grid.

  1. Select Location: Dry, cool, well-ventilated indoor wall or floor space.
  2. Mount Unit: Secure mounting bracket to wall studs or concrete.
  3. Electrical Connections: Connect DC from solar, AC from grid/load, and battery cables.
  4. Communication Setup: Connect Wi-Fi dongle or Ethernet for monitoring.
  5. Power On & Commission: Follow startup sequence in the Energeeks app.

CAUTION! Unit is heavy (approx. 55 lbs / 25 kg). Use two people for lifting and mounting.

System Specifications

Mounting the Unit

Wall or floor mounting options. Ensure structural support for weight.

Wall Mounting:

  1. Locate wall studs or use appropriate anchors for masonry.
  2. Hold bracket against wall, mark drill holes.
  3. Drill holes and secure bracket with provided screws.
  4. Lift unit onto bracket, ensuring it clicks into place.
  5. Secure unit with locking screws at bottom of bracket.

Clearance: Maintain 12 inches clearance on sides, 24 inches front/back for ventilation and service access.

Electrical Connections

AC and DC wiring must comply with NEC (NFPA 70) and local codes.

  1. Turn OFF main grid breaker and solar array DC disconnect.
  2. Connect Battery: Use provided cables between battery unit and inverter. Tighten terminals to 15 Nm.
  3. Connect Solar PV: From PV disconnect to inverter DC inputs (+/-). Observe polarity.
  4. Connect AC Grid/Load: From main panel to inverter AC terminals (L1, L2, N, GND). Use copper wire per specs.
  5. Connect Critical Loads Panel (if used) to inverter output terminals.
  6. Grounding: Connect equipment grounding conductor to inverter ground terminal.

Tip: Use torque wrench for all electrical connections. Label all wires clearly.

Commissioning & Setup

Initial configuration via Energeeks mobile app.

  1. Power Sequence: Turn ON battery switch, then AC grid breaker, then solar DC disconnect.
  2. LED Indicators: Check for steady green light on inverter (normal operation).
  3. App Setup: Download "Energeeks Pro" app, create account, add device via QR code scan.
  4. Network: Connect Wi-Fi dongle or Ethernet. Ensure strong signal.
  5. System Settings: Configure operation mode (Self-Consumption, Backup, Time-of-Use), set battery charge/discharge limits.
  6. Test: Simulate grid outage to verify backup functionality.

WARNING! Do not bypass any safety disconnects. Follow startup sequence exactly.

Operation Modes

Select mode based on energy goals and utility rates.

ModeDescriptionBest For
Self-ConsumptionUses solar to power home, excess charges battery, then exports to grid.Maximizing solar use, reducing imports.
Backup PriorityKeeps battery reserved for grid outages. Grid powers loads normally.Areas with frequent outages.
Time-of-Use (TOU)Charges battery during low-cost periods, discharges during peak rates.Saving money with variable utility rates.
Off-GridIslanded operation. Requires sufficient solar/battery. Grid connection disabled.Remote locations, intentional islanding.

Monitoring & Maintenance

Monitor system performance and perform routine checks.

Monitoring: Use Energeeks app or web portal to view real-time power flow, battery SOC, energy history, and alerts.

Monthly Checks:

  1. Visual inspection for damage, corrosion, loose connections.
  2. Ensure ventilation paths are clear.
  3. Check app for any fault notifications.
  4. Verify battery state of charge is within normal range.

CAUTION! Do not open unit casing. No user-serviceable parts inside. Contact certified technician for internal maintenance.

Regulatory & Warranty
