Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present.

  1. Choose location: Select an area with direct sunlight, free from shadows.
  2. Unfold panel: Lay panel flat and extend to full size.
  3. Adjust kickstand: Set desired angle (typically 30-60 degrees) facing the sun.
  4. Connect cables: Attach MC4 connectors from panel to power station input.
  5. Secure cables: Use integrated straps to prevent tripping hazards.

WARNING! Do not install near flammable materials. Keep away from children and pets during setup.

First-Time Setup

Position panel for optimal sun exposure; connect to compatible power station.

  1. Unfold panel completely on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Deploy kickstand and angle towards the sun (south-facing in northern hemisphere).
  3. Connect MC4 cables from panel to power station's solar input port.
  4. Power on your EcoFlow station; verify solar charging indicator is active.
  5. Monitor output via power station display or app (if compatible).

CAUTION! Avoid shading on panel surface as it significantly reduces output. Do not step on or place heavy objects on panel.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

No physical controls on panel. Charging is managed by connected power station.

Power Station Interface: Use your EcoFlow station's display or app to monitor solar input voltage, current, and power. Adjust power station settings for charging speed, output priority, etc.

Optimal Positioning: Adjust panel angle seasonally: higher angle in winter, lower in summer. Use compass or sun tracking apps for best alignment.

Connecting Devices

Connect only to compatible solar generators or power stations with MC4 input.

  1. Ensure both panel and power station are off before connecting.
  2. Match MC4 connectors (male/female) correctly; they are keyed to prevent wrong connection.
  3. Connect panel output to power station's "Solar Input" or "DC Input" port.
  4. Secure connection by pushing until click is heard.
  5. Power on the station; verify solar icon or input reading appears.

Tip: Use extension cables (solar-rated) if needed, but keep total length under recommended limits to minimize power loss.

Operation Guidelines

For maximum efficiency and safety during use.

  1. Daily Use: Unfold, position facing sun, connect, and monitor charging.
  2. Angle Adjustment: Change kickstand angle every 2-3 hours for best sun exposure if stationary.
  3. Weather Considerations: Panel is waterproof, but secure in high winds. Performance drops in cloudy conditions.
  4. Disconnecting: Turn off power station first, then disconnect MC4 connectors.
  5. Storage: Fold panel, wrap cables, and store in dry, cool place away from sharp objects.
  6. Multiple Panels: For higher power, connect multiple EF-Fold-G220-04 panels in parallel (using parallel adapter) or series as per power station specifications.

WARNING! Do not attempt to repair damaged panels. Do not expose connectors to water while plugged. Never look directly at sun through panel reflection.

Safety Features

IP67 Rating: Protection against dust and temporary immersion in water. Overcurrent Protection: Managed by connected power station. Reverse Polarity Protection: MC4 connectors prevent incorrect connection. Flame Retardant Materials: Panel backsheet meets safety standards.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect from power source before cleaning. Use soft, damp cloth to wipe surface. For stubborn dirt, use mild soap solution. Rinse with clean water and dry with soft cloth.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or high-pressure water. Do not walk on panel. Avoid cleaning during peak sun hours (hot surface).
