Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.

  1. Choose location: Select area with maximum sunlight exposure, minimal shading.
  2. Mounting: Use provided mounting holes with corrosion-resistant bolts (M8 recommended).
  3. Angle adjustment: Adjust tilt angle according to latitude for optimal performance.
  4. Grounding: Connect frame to proper grounding point using grounding lug.
  5. Connect panels: Use MC4 connectors to link panels in series or parallel as needed.
  6. Connect to charge controller: Route cables to charge controller, observing polarity.

WARNING! Panel is heavy and fragile; lift with care using two people. Do not step on panel surface.

First-Time Setup

After installation, configure system for optimal performance.

  1. Check connections: Ensure all MC4 connectors are fully engaged and weatherproof.
  2. Connect to charge controller: Verify correct polarity (+ to +, - to -).
  3. Configure charge controller: Set battery type (AGM, Gel, Lithium, etc.) and charging parameters.
  4. Monitor output: Use multimeter or charge controller display to verify voltage and current.
  5. System check: Ensure no shading on panel and all connections are secure.

CAUTION! Never disconnect under load. Cover panel with opaque material during wiring.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Panel has no active controls. Performance is managed through connected charge controller.

Charge Controller Settings: Battery type selection, charging voltage, float voltage, equalization settings.

Monitoring: Use charge controller display or external monitoring system to track: - Real-time power output - Daily energy production - System voltage and current - Battery state of charge

Optimization: Adjust panel angle seasonally for maximum energy harvest.

Connecting Devices

Connect to charge controller, battery bank, and inverter as needed.

  1. Turn off all system components before connecting.
  2. Connect panels: Use MC4 connectors in series (for higher voltage) or parallel (for higher current).
  3. Connect to charge controller: Route cables observing proper polarity.
  4. Connect battery: Ensure battery bank is properly sized for your application.
  5. Connect inverter: For AC output, connect inverter to battery bank.

Tip: Use appropriate gauge wiring to minimize voltage drop. Follow local electrical codes.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Monthly inspection: Check for physical damage, loose connections, corrosion.
  2. Cleaning: Clean surface with water and soft cloth when dirty (see Care & Cleaning).
  3. Seasonal adjustment: Adjust tilt angle for changing sun position.
  4. Connection check: Verify all MC4 connections remain secure and weatherproof.
  5. Performance monitoring: Track output and investigate significant drops.
  6. Vegetation control: Trim trees and plants that may shade panels.

WARNING! Never use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. Do not clean when panel is hot or in direct sunlight.

Safety Features

Bypass Diodes: Integrated in junction box to prevent hot spots and reduce power loss from shading. Overcurrent Protection: Requires external fusing as per NEC guidelines. Grounding: Frame includes grounding points for safety.

Care & Cleaning

Clean early morning or late evening when panel is cool. Use soft cloth or sponge with water. For stubborn dirt, use mild soap solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or high-pressure water. Do not walk on panel. Wear appropriate safety gear when working at height.
