Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE button, LED status indicators.

LED Indicators:

Controls: POWER - Turns charger on/off. MODE - Selects battery type (AGM, GEL, WET).

Connecting to Battery

Always connect charger to battery before connecting to AC power.

  1. Ensure charger is OFF and unplugged from AC power.
  2. Connect red alligator clip to positive (+) battery terminal.
  3. Connect black alligator clip to negative (-) battery terminal or chassis ground.
  4. Plug charger into AC power outlet.
  5. Press POWER button to begin charging.

Tip: For maintenance charging, connect directly to battery terminals for best results.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging for optimal battery health.

  1. Bulk Stage: Constant current charge until battery reaches approximately 80% capacity.
  2. Absorption Stage: Constant voltage charge to bring battery to 100% capacity.
  3. Float Stage: Maintenance voltage to keep battery at full charge indefinitely.
  4. Completion: LED turns green when battery is fully charged.
  5. Maintenance: Automatically switches to float mode to prevent overcharging.

WARNING! Do not attempt to charge frozen or damaged batteries. Ensure battery electrolyte levels are proper before charging.

Maintenance Mode

Float/maintenance mode keeps battery at optimal charge during storage.

  1. Connect charger to battery as described in section 7.
  2. Charger automatically enters maintenance mode after completing charge cycle.
  3. LED indicator shows green when in maintenance mode.
  4. Charger can remain connected indefinitely without overcharging battery.
