Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Ensure installation site can support unit weight (45 kg).

  1. Select mounting location: Ensure adequate clearance (min. 50 cm on all sides).
  2. Secure mounting brackets: Use provided hardware to attach to wall/ceiling/floor.
  3. Connect ducting: Attach appropriate ductwork to intake and exhaust ports.
  4. Electrical connection: Have qualified electrician connect to 3-phase power supply.
  5. Ground the unit: Connect grounding wire to proper earth ground.

WARNING! Unit is heavy; use proper lifting equipment. Ensure power is disconnected during installation.

First-Time Setup

After installation, perform initial setup before first use.

  1. Power connection: Verify correct voltage (400V AC) and phase sequence.
  2. System check: Ensure all fasteners are tight and ducting is secure.
  3. Test rotation: Momentarily power on to confirm correct fan rotation direction.
  4. Speed calibration: Set minimum and maximum speed limits on VFD controller.
  5. Safety test: Verify thermal overload protection activates correctly.

CAUTION! Never operate without proper ducting attached. Keep hands clear of moving parts.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Control panel located on side housing. Digital display shows RPM, temperature, and fault codes.

Controls: POWER switch, START/STOP buttons, SPEED adjustment knob, RESET button, DISPLAY toggle.

Settings: Minimum speed limit (factory: 300 RPM), Maximum speed limit (factory: 1800 RPM), Acceleration time (1-30 seconds), Deceleration time (1-30 seconds), Thermal cut-off temperature (85°C default).

Connecting to Systems

Compatible with standard 200mm diameter ducting. Can be integrated into HVAC or industrial ventilation systems.

  1. Turn off power at main breaker before connecting.
  2. Attach ducting using appropriate clamps (not included).
  3. Ensure airtight seals at all connections.
  4. For multiple units: Connect in parallel for increased airflow.

Tip: Use flexible ducting to reduce vibration transmission. Install isolation valves for maintenance.

Operating Procedures

Standard operation for ventilation applications.

  1. Startup: Press POWER, then START button.
  2. Adjust speed: Turn SPEED knob to desired RPM.
  3. Monitor: Check digital display for RPM and temperature.
  4. Shutdown: Press STOP button, allow fan to come to complete stop (30 seconds minimum).
  5. Emergency stop: Use main power disconnect in emergencies.
  6. Variable operation: Adjust speed based on ventilation requirements.
  7. Continuous operation: Unit rated for 24/7 operation at 80% maximum speed.

WARNING! Do not exceed maximum RPM. Never operate with safety grille removed.

Safety Features

Thermal overload protection: Automatic shutdown at 85°C. Safety interlock: Prevents operation with grille removed. Motor protection: Built-in thermal cut-out. Emergency stop capability: Via main power disconnect.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Disconnect power before maintenance. Monthly: Inspect for debris. Quarterly: Clean blades and housing. Annually: Lubricate bearings (use NLGI #2 grease).

CAUTION! Do not use water or solvents on electrical components. Wear protective equipment during maintenance.
