Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. Keep this manual for future reference.

  1. Electrical Safety: Do not expose the panel or charge controller to liquids while ports are in use. Use only in dry conditions when connecting devices.
  2. Sun Exposure: Avoid looking directly at the reflective surface of the panel in bright sunlight.
  3. Temperature: Do not operate in ambient temperatures above 140°F (60°C) or below -4°F (-20°C).
  4. Damage: Do not use if the panel, frame, or cables are visibly damaged.
  5. Children: Keep away from children. Not a toy.

WARNING! Never attempt to disassemble or modify the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Risk of electric shock or fire.

Specifications

First-Time Setup

Unfold the panel and prepare for its first use.

  1. Unfold: Lay the panel flat on a stable surface. Unfold the kickstand on the back.
  2. Position: Place the panel in direct sunlight, facing the sun. Adjust the kickstand to achieve an angle between 30-60 degrees for best results.
  3. Connect Device: Use your own USB cable or the provided cable to connect your device (phone, power bank) to either the USB-A or USB-C port.
  4. Check Indicator: The LED indicator should light up. A solid green light means the panel is receiving power. A blinking blue light indicates a device is connected and charging.

CAUTION! Ensure the panel surface is clean and free of shadows (from trees, buildings, etc.) for maximum efficiency.

Operation & Charging

For optimal charging performance, follow these guidelines.

  1. Device Compatibility: Compatible with most USB-powered devices (smartphones, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, GPS units).
  2. Charging Speed: Charging speed depends on sunlight intensity, panel angle, and device battery state. Full sun is required for maximum 21W output.
  3. Indicator Lights:
    • Solid Green: Panel is in sunlight and producing power (no device connected).
    • Blinking Blue: Device is connected and charging.
    • No Light: Insufficient sunlight or no power generation.
  4. Using Both Ports: You can charge two devices simultaneously. Total output is shared (max 21W), so charging speed for each device may be reduced.

Tip: For fastest charging, connect only one device at a time and use the USB-C port if your device supports it.

Optimal Positioning

Maximize energy harvest by correctly positioning the panel.

  1. Time of Day: Position the panel to face the sun directly. The sun's position changes throughout the day; adjust the panel every 1-2 hours for best results.
  2. Angle: Use the kickstand. A general rule: set the angle equal to your current latitude. For most seasonal use, a 45-degree angle is a good starting point.
  3. Avoid Shadows: Even a small shadow on part of the panel can significantly reduce total power output.
  4. Clean Surface: Ensure the solar cell surface is clean. Dust, dirt, or bird droppings will reduce efficiency.

WARNING! Do not leave the panel unattended in high-wind conditions. Secure it or bring it indoors.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures long life and peak performance.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth. Use mild soap and water if needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or high-pressure water.
  2. Frame and Ports: Keep the USB ports free of debris. Wipe the aluminum frame with a dry cloth.
  3. Inspection: Periodically check for any cracks in the solar cells, damage to the frame, or fraying cables.
  4. Waterproofing: While the unit is IP67 rated, ensure the rubber port covers are fully closed when not in use to maintain waterproof integrity.

CAUTION! Do not bend or fold the panel excessively when cold, as the flexible cells can become brittle.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the panel properly.

  1. Fold the panel along its pre-set creases.
  2. Store in the provided carry pouch or a cool, dry place.
  3. Avoid storing in direct sunlight, extreme heat, or damp environments.
  4. Do not place heavy objects on top of the stored panel.

Recommended Storage Temperature: 32°F to 77°F (0°C to 25°C).
