Installation Requirements

Installation Steps

Follow steps in order for proper installation.

  1. Assemble rail: Connect rail sections as per manual; secure with provided hardware.

  3. Install power unit: Attach to ceiling joists with mounting brackets; ensure unit is level.
  4. Attach rail to door: Connect trolley to door arm; secure to top section of door.

Remote Programming:

  1. Locate LEARN button on back of power unit (near light socket).
  2. Press and release LEARN button; LED will light for 30 seconds.
  3. Within 30 seconds, press and hold button on remote until opener light blinks.
  4. Test remote operation.

Keypad Programming (if applicable): Enter default PIN (usually 1-2-3-4), press PROG, enter new 4-digit PIN, press ENTER.

Note: To erase all remotes, press and hold LEARN button until LED turns off (about 6 seconds).

Travel Limit Adjustment

Adjust open and close positions for proper door alignment.

  1. Open adjustment: Locate OPEN limit screw on power unit; turn clockwise to decrease travel, counterclockwise to increase.
  2. Close adjustment: Locate CLOSE limit screw; adjust similarly.
  3. Test: Run door through complete cycles; adjust until door fully opens and closes completely on floor.
  4. Final check: Ensure door seals properly when closed without excessive force.

WARNING! Do not adjust limits while door is moving. Make small adjustments and test between changes.

Force Adjustment

Adjust open and close force to match door weight and conditions.

  1. Open force: Locate OPEN force adjustment; turn clockwise to increase force, counterclockwise to decrease.
  2. Close force: Locate CLOSE force adjustment; adjust similarly.
  3. Test: Door should open completely without straining; should reverse if obstruction encountered during close.
  4. Safety test: Place 2x4 board on floor in door's path; door should reverse within 2 seconds of contact.

CAUTION! Excessive force can cause injury or damage. Adjust to minimum force needed for reliable operation.
