Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. Failure to follow may cause injury or damage.

  1. Electrical Safety: Connect to grounded outlet only. Do not use damaged cords.
  2. Battery Safety: Work in well-ventilated area. Keep sparks/flames away.
  3. Connection Order: Connect charger to battery BEFORE plugging into AC outlet.
  4. Personal Protection: Wear eye protection. Avoid touching battery acid.
  5. Children: Keep out of reach. Not a toy.

WARNING! Risk of explosion if battery is incorrectly connected. Ensure correct polarity (RED to POSITIVE+, BLACK to NEGATIVE-).

Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a stable, dry location.

  1. Select Location: Place on non-flammable surface away from battery.
  2. AC Power: Plug power cord into grounded 100-240V outlet.
  3. Voltage Setting: Set switch to correct battery voltage (12V, 24V, 36V, 48V) or AUTO if available.
  4. Battery Connection: Ensure battery terminals are clean and tight.

CAUTION! Do not install near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Maintain clearance for ventilation.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER switch, VOLTAGE selector, LED indicators.

LED Indicators:POWER (Green): AC power connected. • CHARGING (Flashing Yellow): Bulk/Absorption stage active. • FAULT (Red): Error detected (reverse polarity, short circuit, over-temperature). • COMPLETE (Solid Green): Float/maintenance stage active; battery fully charged.

Voltage Selector: Rotary switch with positions: 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V, AUTO (if equipped).

Connecting to Battery

Follow proper sequence to prevent sparks.

  1. Turn Off: Ensure charger POWER switch is OFF.
  2. Connect Clamps: Attach RED clamp to battery POSITIVE (+) terminal. Attach BLACK clamp to battery NEGATIVE (-) terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  3. Verify: Double-check connections are secure and correct.
  4. Power On: Turn charger POWER switch ON.
  5. Plug In: Insert AC plug into outlet.

Disconnection Sequence: 1. Unplug AC cord. 2. Turn charger OFF. 3. Remove BLACK clamp. 4. Remove RED clamp.

Charging Operation

Charger automatically manages the process once connected.

  1. Bulk Stage: CHARGING LED flashes. Constant current (6A) until ~80% capacity.
  2. Absorption Stage: CHARGING LED solid. Constant voltage until 100%.
  3. Float Stage: COMPLETE LED solid. Maintenance voltage prevents overcharge.
  4. Monitoring: Check LED status periodically. Charging time varies by battery size/discharge.
  5. Completion: When COMPLETE LED is solid, battery is ready. Disconnect or leave for maintenance.

WARNING! Do not leave charger unattended for extended periods initially. Check for excessive heat.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and clean regularly. Store in dry location.

  1. Cleaning: Use dry cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Inspection: Check cords and clamps for damage before each use.
  3. Terminals: Keep battery terminals clean to ensure good connection.
  4. Storage: Store in original box in cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble charger. No user-serviceable parts inside.
