The Bigblue ETFE-Solar Panel Series is a range of high-efficiency, flexible solar panels designed for portable and off-grid power applications. Featuring ETFE lamination for enhanced durability and weather resistance, these panels offer high conversion efficiency, USB outputs for direct device charging, and compatibility with various power stations. Below are key sections for safety, features, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key components: ETFE-laminated solar cell array, USB output ports, integrated kickstand, cable management, and weather-resistant design.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| ETFE Lamination | Enhanced durability, UV resistance, and self-cleaning surface |
| High-Efficiency Cells | Monocrystalline/Polycrystalline cells for optimal power conversion |
| USB Output Ports | Direct charging for phones, tablets, and USB-powered devices |
| DC Output Port | For connecting to power stations or battery packs |
| Integrated Kickstand | Adjustable angle for optimal sun exposure |
| Cable Management | Built-in loops or pockets for neat cable storage |
| Weather Resistance | IP65 or higher rating for dust and water resistance |
| Lightweight & Flexible | Portable design that can conform to curved surfaces |
| Power Indicator LED | Shows charging status and power output |
| Overcharge Protection | Built-in circuitry to protect connected devices |
Unpack and inspect contents. Choose an optimal location for sunlight exposure.
WARNING! Do not install near heat sources or flammable materials. Ensure the panel is secure in windy conditions.
Before first use, fully expose the panel to sunlight to initialize.
CAUTION! Avoid touching the panel surface when it is hot from prolonged sun exposure.
Panel features minimal controls. Status is indicated via LED.
Power Indicator LED: - Solid Blue/Green: Panel is generating power, device is charging normally. - Flashing Blue/Green: Power generation is low (cloudy/angled), or device is nearly full. - Solid Red/Flashing Red: Fault condition (short circuit, overload, or overheating). - Off: No sunlight or panel not connected to a load.
USB Ports: Standard USB-A ports. Some models may include USB-C with PD.
DC Port: Typically a 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connector or Anderson connector for high-wattage models.
Connect USB devices directly or connect the DC output to a compatible power station.
Tip: For fastest charging, connect only one high-demand device at a time.
Performance depends on sunlight intensity, angle, and weather.
WARNING! Do not attempt to charge devices with a higher input voltage than the panel's USB output (5V). Do not submerge the panel or connectors in water.
Clean the ETFE surface periodically for optimal performance.
CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or high-pressure water. Do not disassemble the panel.

| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
|---|---|---|
| No power output (LED off) | Insufficient sunlight, faulty connection | Move to direct sunlight. Check all cable connections. Ensure device is on and accepts charge. |
| LED flashing red | Overload, short circuit, or overheating | Disconnect all devices. Let panel cool in shade. Reconnect one device at a time. |
| Charging is very slow | Poor sunlight, panel angle, dirty surface, or high device consumption | Clean panel. Adjust angle towards sun. Try charging a power bank instead of a device in use. |
| Device stops charging intermittently | Loose cable, cloud cover, or panel shading | Secure all connections. Ensure no part of the panel is shaded. |
| USB port feels loose | Physical damage or debris in port | Inspect for debris. Do not force connection. Contact support if damaged. |
Reset: Disconnect all devices and cables. Leave in full sun for 5 minutes, then reconnect.
