Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure work area is dry and well-ventilated.

  1. Select connection method: Use alligator clips for temporary connection or ring terminals for permanent installation.
  2. Connect to battery: RED clamp to positive (+) terminal, BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal.
  3. Connect AC power: Plug charger into standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Verify connection: LED should illuminate indicating power and detection.

WARNING! Always connect to battery before plugging into AC power to prevent sparking. Ensure battery area is ventilated.

First-Time Setup

Power on charger; observe LED indicators.

  1. Automatic detection: Charger detects battery voltage (12V/24V) automatically.
  2. Charging stage: LED shows charging in progress (flashing or solid).
  3. Desulfation cycle: If needed, charger enters desulfation mode automatically.
  4. Maintenance mode: When fully charged, switches to float/maintenance mode.

CAUTION! Do not connect to frozen or damaged batteries. Keep away from flammable materials during charging.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

LED Indicators: POWER (green), CHARGING (flashing green), MAINTENANCE (solid green), FAULT (red).

Operation Modes: Automatic detection, Bulk charge, Absorption, Desulfation (if needed), Float/Maintenance.

Charging Stages: Bulk (constant current), Absorption (constant voltage), Float (maintenance voltage). Desulfation: Activates automatically when high internal resistance detected. Maintenance: Keeps battery at optimal charge indefinitely.

Connecting to Batteries

For single 12V or 24V battery, or multiple batteries in series (24V).

  1. Ensure charger is unplugged from AC power.
  2. Connect RED clamp to positive (+) terminal of battery.
  3. Connect BLACK clamp to negative (-) terminal of battery or chassis ground.
  4. Plug charger into AC outlet; observe LED indicators.

Tip: For permanent installation, use ring terminals and connect directly to battery posts.

Charging Process

Automatic multi-stage charging for optimal battery health.

  1. Initialization: Charger tests battery condition and voltage.
  2. Bulk Charge: Delivers maximum current until ~80% charged.
  3. Absorption Charge: Voltage constant, current tapers.
  4. Desulfation (if needed): Pulse mode to break down sulfation.
  5. Float/Maintenance: Maintains full charge without overcharging.
  6. Reconditioning: For severely discharged batteries, may take 24-48 hours.

WARNING! Do not disconnect during desulfation cycle. Allow charger to complete full cycle.

Maintenance Mode

Float maintenance keeps battery at full charge indefinitely. LED shows solid green. Can be left connected for months. Automatically adjusts for temperature changes.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect from battery before cleaning. Store in cool, dry place. Keep terminals clean and free of corrosion.

CAUTION! Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures. Inspect cables regularly for damage.
