Specifications

Connecting to Your Camera

  1. Ensure your Arlo camera is mounted in its desired location.
  2. Route the solar panel's USB cable to the camera, using clips to secure it.
  3. Open the weatherproof seal on the camera's charging port.
  4. Firmly plug in the USB connector until it clicks into place.
  5. Close the seal tightly to maintain weather resistance.
  6. The LED on the solar panel should glow solid green, indicating charging is active.

Tip: Test the connection before finalizing cable routing. Check the Arlo app for battery status.

Charging & Performance

The solar panel provides trickle charging to extend battery life. Performance depends on sunlight exposure.

NOTE: The solar panel is designed to maintain charge, not rapidly recharge a fully depleted battery. Use the original charger for initial full charge if needed.

Care & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures maximum efficiency.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, pollen, or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  2. Inspection: Periodically check the USB connection seal for integrity and ensure the cable is not damaged.
  3. Winter Care: Light snow may melt off. Brush off heavy snow accumulation gently. Ice can be melted with lukewarm water (do not pour hot water).
  4. Storage: If removing, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble the unit. Avoid harsh chemicals or high-pressure water sprays.
