Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present.

  1. Position Solar Panel: Place in direct sunlight, avoid shading.
  2. Connect to Charge Controller: Use provided cables, match polarity (red to +, black to -).
  3. Connect to Battery: Attach alligator clips to 12V battery terminals (red positive, black negative).
  4. Secure Connections: Ensure tight connections to prevent arcing.

WARNING! Do not connect panel directly to battery without charge controller. Risk of battery damage or fire.

First-Time Setup

Connect components in correct order before exposing panel to sun.

  1. Connect battery to charge controller first.
  2. Connect solar panel to charge controller.
  3. Check LCD display for battery voltage and charging status.
  4. Adjust panel angle for optimal sun exposure (approx. 30-45 degrees).

CAUTION! Never short-circuit solar panel terminals. Disconnect battery before maintenance.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Charge Controller LCD shows battery voltage, charging current, and mode.

Indicator Lights: Green (charging), Red (fault/low voltage).

Settings via Controller Buttons: MODE (select charging profile), SET (adjust parameters).

Charging Modes: Bulk, Absorption, Float. Battery Type: Selectable (Gel, AGM, Flooded). Load Control: Timer settings for DC output.

Connecting Devices

Connect to 12V battery, or use cigarette lighter socket for portable devices.

  1. Turn off all connected devices before connecting.
  2. Connect battery first, then solar panel.
  3. For DC devices: Plug into cigarette lighter socket (max 10A).
  4. For USB devices: Use USB port if available (5V/2.4A max).

Tip: Keep cables tidy and avoid pinching in case zipper.

Operation and Charging

Designed for 12V lead-acid batteries (Gel, AGM, Flooded).

  1. Place panel in full sun, adjust angle seasonally.
  2. Monitor LCD: Voltage should rise when charging.
  3. Charging Stages: Bulk (constant current), Absorption (constant voltage), Float (maintenance).
  4. Disconnect: Disconnect panel first, then battery when storing.
  5. Storage: Fold panel into case, store in dry place.

WARNING! Do not attempt to charge lithium batteries unless controller supports it. Check compatibility.

Safety Features

Overcharge Protection: Stops charging when battery full. Short Circuit Protection: Auto shut-off. Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents damage from wrong connections. Temperature Compensation: Adjusts charging voltage based on ambient temp.

Care & Maintenance

Clean panel surface with damp cloth; avoid abrasive materials. Check connections monthly for corrosion. Store in case when not in use.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals; keep panel away from sharp objects.
