Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Ensure the poultry house is prepared.

  1. Mount Central Hub: Choose a central, dry location with power outlet and Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Install Reader Nodes: Mount on walls at recommended height and spacing for full coverage.
  3. Apply Bird Tags: Attach RFID leg bands to birds according to guidelines.
  4. Place Environmental Sensors: Distribute sensors evenly throughout the house.
  5. Connect to Power: Plug in Central Hub and all nodes.

WARNING! Equipment is not waterproof. Install only in dry, protected areas. Ensure all mounting is secure.

First-Time Setup

Power on the Central Hub; follow on-screen prompts on the Dashboard Software.

  1. Network Configuration: Connect the Hub to your farm's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Node Discovery: Use the SYNC button to detect and register all Reader Nodes.
  3. Tag Registration: Scan each bird tag to register it to the system and input baseline data (age, breed).
  4. Sensor Calibration: Follow software instructions to calibrate environmental sensors.
  5. Configure Alerts: Set thresholds for movement, feeding, and environmental parameters.

CAUTION! Handle bird tags gently during application to avoid stress or injury to the animal.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access system settings via Dashboard Software or Mobile App. Central Hub: POWER, SYNC, RESET, STATUS LED.

Dashboard Software: Main Menu includes: REAL-TIME MAP, BIRD HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, ALERTS, REPORTS, SETTINGS.

Settings: Configure tracking zones, alert thresholds (for inactivity, temperature, etc.), data sync intervals, user accounts. Bird Profiles: View individual bird history, growth trends, movement patterns. System: Network settings, node management, software updates, system reset.

Connecting Devices

Network: Hub connects to farm Wi-Fi. Nodes connect to Hub via RF. Sensors connect to nearest Node.

  1. Ensure Central Hub is powered on and has a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Press SYNC on Hub, then power on each Reader Node for pairing.
  3. Environmental sensors will auto-pair to the strongest Node signal on power-up.
  4. Verify all connections in the Dashboard Software under NODE MANAGEMENT.

Tip: Perform node pairing before birds are introduced to the house to avoid interference.

Data Management

System collects and stores movement, health, and environmental data.

  1. Real-Time Monitoring: View bird locations and sensor readings on the live map.
  2. Health Trends: Access individual bird profiles to track weight estimates and activity levels.
  3. Environmental Reports: Review historical graphs of temperature, humidity, and air quality.
  4. Export Data: Generate and export reports (CSV, PDF) for flock performance analysis.
  5. Data Sync: Cloud backup option available (subscription). Local data stored for 90 days.

WARNING! Data is for management guidance only. Always verify critical conditions with physical inspection.

Alerts & Notifications

Configure alerts in software. Types: Inactivity Alert (bird stationary too long), Environmental Alert (temp/humidity/ammonia out of range), System Alert (node offline, low signal). Notifications are sent via Mobile App push notification and/or email.

Care & Maintenance

Power down components before cleaning. Wipe exterior of Hub and Nodes with a dry, soft cloth. Keep vents clear of dust and debris. Inspect bird tags weekly for damage or loss. Check sensor probes for cleanliness.

CAUTION! Do not use water, liquids, or abrasive cleaners on any electronic component. Do not submerge tags.
