Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Choose optimal locations for display and sensor.

  1. Install batteries: Insert 3x AAA in display unit, 2x AA in outdoor sensor.
  2. Position outdoor sensor: Place in shaded, ventilated area away from direct sunlight/rain.
  3. Position display unit: Place indoors within wireless range (up to 330 ft clear line).
  4. Mount units: Use included hardware for wall mounting or use tabletop stand.
  5. Connect AC adapter: Optional for continuous display power.

WARNING! Do not expose sensor to direct precipitation. Ensure batteries are installed with correct polarity.

First-Time Setup

Power on units; allow automatic synchronization.

  1. Sensor pairing: Display will automatically search for sensor signal (may take 3-5 minutes).
  2. Atomic clock sync: Unit will automatically search for WWVB signal at night (can take 24-48 hours).
  3. Set preferences: Use MENU button to configure temperature units (°F/°C), time format, alerts.
  4. Test functions: Verify sensor connection and display readings.

CAUTION! Keep sensor and display away from heat sources, electronics, and metal surfaces that may interfere with wireless signal.

Connecting Sensors

Supports up to 3 wireless sensors (sold separately).

  1. Install batteries in additional sensor(s).
  2. On display unit: Press MENU, navigate to SENSOR SETUP, select ADD SENSOR.
  3. Press button on new sensor to transmit ID signal.
  4. Display will confirm when sensor is registered (assigns channel 2 or 3).
  5. Repeat for additional sensors.

Tip: Place sensors at least 3 feet apart to avoid signal interference. Test signal strength before permanent mounting.

Monitoring Data

Display shows current readings and historical data.

  1. View current: Main display shows indoor/outdoor temp and humidity simultaneously.
  2. Check min/max: Press and hold SET button for 3 seconds to view records.
  3. Reset records: In MENU > RECORDS > RESET to clear historical data.
  4. View trends: Arrow indicators show if temperature is rising (↑), falling (↓), or steady (→).
  5. Weather forecast: Icons show predicted conditions (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy).
  6. Time/date: Automatically set via atomic clock; shows day of week.

WARNING! Outdoor sensor readings may be inaccurate if placed in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Alert Functions

Programmable alarms for temperature and humidity thresholds.

  1. Access alarms: MENU > ALERTS > TEMPERATURE or HUMIDITY.
  2. Set high limit: Use UP/DOWN to set maximum threshold, press SET to confirm.
  3. Set low limit: Set minimum threshold, press SET to confirm.
  4. Enable/disable: Toggle alarm ON/OFF for each parameter.
  5. Test alarm: Exceed set thresholds to trigger audible beep and flashing icon.
  6. Snooze: Press any button to silence alarm for 10 minutes.

Default password for protected settings: 0000 (can be changed in security menu).

Care & Cleaning
