Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper ventilation.

  1. Choose Location: Install in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and flammable materials.
  2. Connect to Battery: Use heavy-gauge cables (recommended 4 AWG or thicker for runs over 3 feet). Connect RED cable to battery positive (+) and BLACK cable to battery negative (-). Ensure secure connections.
  3. Ground Connection: Connect the grounding terminal to a proper earth ground if required by local codes.
  4. Connect AC Load: Plug device(s) into the AC outlet. Do not exceed 400W continuous load.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock and fire. Ensure all connections are correct and secure. Do not connect to AC mains power. Use appropriate fuse (40A recommended) on positive battery cable near battery terminal.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the inverter and test with a small load.

  1. Check Battery Voltage: Ensure battery voltage is between 10.5V and 15V DC before turning on.
  2. Power On: Turn the inverter power switch to ON. Green POWER LED should illuminate.
  3. Test Operation: Plug in a small device (e.g., 60W lamp) to verify AC output.
  4. Monitor Indicators: Ensure no fault LEDs (Red) are illuminated during normal operation.

CAUTION! Do not connect high-surge devices (like motors, compressors) that exceed the surge rating without checking compatibility. Always start with the smallest load first.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER Switch, Status LED Indicators.

LED Indicators:

Remote (Optional): ON/OFF switch for remote control.

Connecting Devices

Connect only 120V AC, 60Hz devices with a total load not exceeding 400W continuous.

  1. Calculate Load: Sum the wattage of all devices to be powered simultaneously. Ensure total is less than 400W.
  2. Plug In: Insert device plug(s) into the AC outlet on the inverter.
  3. Power Sequence: Turn on the inverter first, then turn on the connected device(s).

Tip: Devices with motors, compressors, or pumps may have a startup surge 3-7 times their rated wattage. Ensure the surge does not exceed 800W.

Operation

Normal operation with connected loads.

  1. Startup: Ensure battery is connected correctly. Turn Power Switch ON.
  2. Load Monitoring: The cooling fan will activate automatically under load. It is normal for the inverter to become warm during use.
  3. Shutdown: Turn off connected devices first, then turn the inverter power switch OFF.
  4. Low Voltage Response: If the LOW VOLTAGE LED flashes, recharge the battery immediately. If it stays solid, the inverter will shut down to protect the battery.
  5. Overload Response: If the OVERLOAD/FAULT LED flashes, immediately reduce the connected load. The inverter may shut down and require a restart (power cycle).

WARNING! Do not block ventilation openings. Do not operate in enclosed spaces. Disconnect the inverter when not in use to prevent battery drain.

Protection Features

The inverter includes multiple safeguards:

Care & Maintenance

Keep the inverter clean and dry. Periodically check all connections for tightness and corrosion.

  1. Cleaning: Unplug from battery. Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquids or aerosols.
  2. Ventilation: Ensure air vents are not obstructed by dust or debris.
  3. Connection Check: Regularly inspect battery cable terminals for corrosion and ensure they are tight.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place if not in use for extended periods.

CAUTION! Do not open the casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

Troubleshooting

SymptomPossible CauseCorrective Action
No output, no LEDNo power from battery, blown fuse, loose connectionCheck battery voltage; check and replace fuse; check all cable connections.
Green POWER LED on, but no AC outputOverload shutdown, internal faultDisconnect all loads, power cycle inverter. If problem persists, contact service.
OVERLOAD/FAULT LED flashingConnected load too high or short circuitDisconnect all devices. Reconnect one low-wattage device to test. Check devices for faults.
LOW VOLTAGE LED onBattery voltage too lowRecharge battery. Check battery health and cable size/length.
Inverter shuts down under loadOverheating, overload, low voltageEnsure proper ventilation. Reduce load. Check battery voltage under load.
Audible alarm soundsLow voltage, overload, over-temperatureCheck corresponding LED indicator and follow corrective action.
Fan does not runFan fault, temperature not high enoughFan runs only when needed. If inverter overheats and fan is silent, contact service.

Reset: Turn power switch OFF, wait 30 seconds, then turn ON.
