Safety Precautions

Read all safety instructions before use. Keep away from water, heat, and flammable materials.

  1. Use only in dry, well-ventilated areas. Do not expose to rain or moisture.
  2. Do not disassemble or modify the unit. Risk of electric shock or fire.
  3. Ensure total connected load does not exceed 1800W continuous.
  4. Use only provided or manufacturer-approved charging cables and solar panels.
  5. Keep battery terminals clean and free from short circuits.

WARNING! This unit contains a lithium battery. Do not puncture, incinerate, or expose to temperatures above 140°F (60°C).

Initial Setup & Charging

Before first use, fully charge the generator.

  1. AC Charging: Connect the included AC power cord to the unit's AC input port and a wall outlet. The LCD will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 6-8 hours.
  2. Solar Charging: Connect compatible solar panels to the DC input port using the provided cable. Ensure panels are in direct sunlight.
  3. Power On: Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds. The LCD will illuminate.
  4. Initial Test: Plug in a small device (e.g., lamp) to verify output.

CAUTION! Charge the unit fully before first use for optimal battery performance and longevity.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER Button, LCD Display, AC Output Switch, USB Ports.

LCD Display Icons: Battery Level (%), Input/Output Power (W), Warning Indicators (Overload, High Temp, Low Battery).

Button Functions: POWER (On/Off), AC Button (Enable/disable AC outlets), LED Light Button (if equipped).

Settings Menu: Press and hold POWER and AC buttons to access settings for battery cutoff voltage, screen brightness.

Connecting Devices & Loads

Ensure the unit is powered on and in the correct output mode.

  1. AC Devices: Plug devices into the AC outlets. Press the AC button to enable power.
  2. USB Devices: Connect phones/tablets directly to USB-A or USB-C ports.
  3. 12V DC Devices: Use the 12V car outlet for coolers, air pumps, etc.

Load Calculation: Add up the wattage of all connected devices. Do not exceed 1800W. Motor-driven tools may require 2-3x their rated wattage to start.

Tip: For sensitive electronics (computers, medical devices), the pure sine wave output ensures safe operation.

Solar Panel Connection

For off-grid charging using solar panels.

  1. Place solar panels in direct sunlight, angled towards the sun.
  2. Connect the panel's MC4 connectors to the provided extension cable.
  3. Plug the cable's DC connector into the unit's "Solar Input" port.
  4. The LCD will show the solar input icon and charging wattage.

Optimal Conditions: Clear sky, panels clean, no shading. Charging time varies by panel wattage and sunlight.

WARNING! Do not connect solar panels that exceed the max input voltage (50V DC) or current. Use only 4Patriots-approved panels.

Operation Modes

Silent Standby: Unit is on but no loads connected. Very low self-discharge.

Power Supply Mode: Actively powering devices. Monitor battery level on LCD.

Charging Mode: When connected to AC or solar. The unit can often power devices while charging (pass-through charging).

Eco Mode (if equipped): Automatically powers down AC outlets when connected load falls below a set threshold to conserve battery.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug all devices before maintenance.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge to 50-70%, power off, and store in a cool, dry place (32°F-77°F / 0°C-25°C). Recharge every 3-6 months.
  3. Terminal Check: Periodically ensure all ports are free of dust and debris.

CAUTION! Never store the unit with a completely discharged battery. This can permanently damage the battery cells.
